This spin position.

No idea what's it called coz I'm just bad at skating.

I don't know what that's called either... Maybe it could be a a variation of the catchfoot camel? Does it have a particular name? Someone more knowledgeable please come to the rescue! :scratch2::hap10:
It sure looks cool, though (if a bit like turning your whole body into a knot )! I have seen it before but never thought of the name :3

This whole thread is opinion based. If someone believes that skater X's ____ is the best ever it is fine. If you do not agree and want to say Skater Y's is better that's fine too. Everyone has the right to their opinion.

There is a joke: You are entitled to your wrong opinion. I've been looking for a custom title. I might pick that one.

My favourite moves are always is always footwork sections. Brian Orser's and Kurt Browning's footwork sections always were amongst my favourites.

My favourite pair move is the twist. S/M and T/M have beautiful twists. High and fast. I can't believe how Aliona seems to fly up and then seemly float when she's up there.

My favourite dance move is the No Touch step sequence. V/M No touch in the SD last year was terrific.

are you even serious? that's a really low quality and easy spin. a lot of 10 yo skaters can do better than this
i'm ok with her fans praising an average quality telegraphed 3Lz, but saying that yuna spins are something that "no one can do" it's just ridiculous

It seems like any time someone says they like one of Yuna's moves you follow up by telling them much younger kids can do it way better. Why? Yuna actually had amazing jumps and that spin was her trademark for a reason.

I wouldn't bother talking to a troll if I were you. Just use the ignore button.

Akari doesn't do a classic layback position at all. Sasha's layback was one of the best for that position.

So that makes me think, "why don't skaters do the classic layback position anymore?"
My guess is that the position is fewer in points. But I would LOVE to see a skater bring back a beautiful classic position.

Heartily disagree, but alright.

ok, average is an exaggeration. her 3Lz is of very good quality, but yuna certainly is not the best 3Lz-3T jumper of all time, like her fans are used to say

the best 3Lz-3T jumper for me is vivian le from 2 seasons ago, the girl had an enormous 3Lz, it's a shame that she lost all of her jumps with puberty

but here she is with a 65 cm high 3Lz, the highest i ever saw from a lady

Not exactly a move, but Kostner's Bolero step sequence. Brings a tear in my eye every time i watch it. https://youtu.be/iD9MP3G-79E?t=3m9s

This move by Michelle. https://youtu.be/Maa3jsZVvXU?t=5m3s

Then, Polina's lutz. So beautiful. In fact, any of her jumps. https://youtu.be/3pTxHF2ljnQ?t=46s

This lift by Tessa and Scott. https://youtu.be/oZG1cbrQtbQ?t=3m49s And this https://youtu.be/KXQNnROT_90?t=1m34s

Oh, and anything Daisuke Takahashi does. But especially the step sequences in the Eye program. Maybe my favourite ever. https://youtu.be/Ut5E027T7bs?t=1m47s

I agree with you about Sasha, but disagree about Yuna's Ina Bauer. No one can top Yuzuru Hanyu's !

Shizuka Arakawa https://youtu.be/0T0Ufv0k2Fw?t=204 Better than Yuna's, too.

Split falling leaf: Michelle

Arabesque spiral with change of edge: Michelle

Hydroblade: Michelle

I-spin: Sasha and Julia Lip

3lutz-3toe (ladies) : Yuna

Classic layback: Sasha, Sarah Hughes, Angela Nikodinov, Dorothy Hamill, Janet Lynn, Peggy Fleming

IJS layback: Mirai, Alissa Czisny, Satoko Miyahara, Karen Chen, Julia Lip

Charlotte spiral: Michelle, Alissa Czisny

Backwards spiral: Michelle https://youtu.be/dr01qTQ1_FI?t=214

Savchenko/Massot's triple twists are indeed one of the bests in the world. :agree: I feel like Aliona exploring the space without any force of gravity. Kudos to Massot's immense power able to lift Aliona up so high.

T/M's twists are also good and sharp, so they just need better programs!!!!! I've been saying this like for the past 4 years?

Sui/Han's twist with a tano is also a thing of beauty. The tano in the air accentuates their athleticism and creates a thrilling moment.

I also love Yu/Zhang's twists. Xiaoyu transforms herself into a little bird in the air.

Yes! I have a huge soft spot for Daisuke and this program is one of my favourites.

Also, this slide/lunge/bauer-ish thing Kevin Aymoz does: https://youtu.be/IasPdbE4IjY?t=6m56s
The entire program is great imo but this move in particular makes me gasp every time  I've never seen anyone do anything like it before. It fits the music and overall feeling of the program really well, too.

The thing is.... children are more bendy and flexible. But if a woman does it, in a mature program... it adds another dimension the element within context of the program.

THere maybe kids who can do it... but can do make it meaningful? I doubt so.

Shizuka had a lot of great qualities that were overlooked when compared to her jumping prowess. Although, I do think this is the perfect double Axel. That landing! :drama: Her spiral was underrated.

Yulia's I-spin is not a position I really like aesthetically speaking, but it did have that jaw-dropping quality. I much prefer her needle spin, which is just beautiful. However, my favorite Yulia spin ever is her sit(?) spin. Iconic.

Other obvious choices that don't really need to be reiterated are Sasha's spins and spirals, Mao's step sequences, and Yuna's Lutz (and her Flip which is kind of overlooked in my opinion).
