Her parents and grandmother already have video proof of her intentions, she will have to stick to it.
But, all kidding aside, this is just so sweet, Alina is a darling for sure.
Masaru is going to save us during the off season, we will have plenty of news (and pictures, and video).

That would be PLAN A. In PLAN B the CLAWS may need to come out
Iriska is going to need all her zen abilities with Masaru, or her climbing abilities to get on top of that bookcase they have in the living room ultra fast when she needs down time.
I have to say Masaru looked like a calm and friendly puppy, Alina loves the outdoors (and lives near a very cool park) so they will have plenty of places to go to to give Iriska and the chinchillas some personal space.

German Journalist attended the press conference Alina gave today about Masaru.
And she got a gift from a German fan (by mail).

I think the press conference was outside Russian Olympic Committee headquarters (in the video you can see a sign behind her back https://www.instagram.com/p/BiUw8-jDmQy ) Can't read Russian but I think I see the word committee somewhere in there (middle word).

I'm pretty sure that Tatjana Flade has interviewed/interpreted for Alina in the past.

That would be super cool, loads of skaters follow her on Instagram (Alina is not one of them so far) but I got that to mean that she is involved with figure skating reporting somehow.

Tatjana Flade always help Alina with translations during some competition, also , I think, she was first person who congratulated Alina after gold medal, she was near to Alina in a waiting room .. some people calls her - Alina personal angel ))

Masaru will also save Alina during tough times in the upcoming season. She is going to have a lot of pressure on her as the reigning OC and the wonderful thing about dogs is that they really need your attention and energy. No matter what kind of day she has Masaru will be waiting for play-time, snuggles and walks at the end of it. Dogs have a way of taking you out of your own head during stressful times.
As much as Alina will take care of Masaru, Masaru will also take care of Alina.

I was thinking this exact same thing. They are going to need the space the chinchilla cage is occupying for Maseru's crate. Maseru is going to have to have a crate big enough to comfortably house a fully grown Akita. Unless they get a bigger apartment there is simply no space.
Iriska and Masaru could adjust as long as Iriska establishes that she is boss. But in the event that process is just too stressful for everyone involved, a return trip to Izhevsk might be the answer. And since Iriska originally lived in the Izhevsk apartment with the whole family I'm sure Sabina would be happy to have her back.
One way or the other this will all work out. I'm still holding out hope for a bigger apartment sooner rather than later.
