And Lipinski won world gold at 14 and olympic singles gold at 15 even younger than Alinas olympic gold. Tara and Michelle won huge titles at 14 and 15 years old. I dont recall a concern for their well being back then. Lol. They have turned out awesome too.

All this talk about raising the age to 17 or 18 means the ladies olympic champion woold have to go back to juniors.

1) How does Auxier think he can just tell us what "everyone" wants to see? What about those of us who simply want to see the best skating -- not the "mature women's skating" if it means watered down content where it's an event to land a lutz....
2) Why do you get to decide that we don't see Shcherbakova, Kostornaya, and Trusova until 19-20? Even if Auxier suddenly has the power to decide things like this, he says 17-18, not 19-20. Plus, THERE IS NOTHING IN THIS YEAR'S PROPOSAL ABOUT RAISING THE AGE. So it can't happen until 2020 at the very earliest -- when Shcherbakova, Kostornaya, and Trusova will all have been senior eligible for a year already. You really think that if it passed then, they'd send them BACK DOWN TO JUNIORS???

This is just wrong on so many levels....

I had to slow down the speed of the video to see that it's a triple ..maybe because of the height, it just looked 2Lo. That edge on the lutz tho, it's (!)
But yea, I love watching her skate even without the jumps.

This discipline is called women's single skating. WOMEN'S

The ISU is making a big mistake by sticking with the word"ladies'" Because "lady" can apply to any age group. You can call an 8 year-old a "young, little lady". But you can never call her a woman because she's a prepubescent child.

About Med. Nobody has to agree with anything. She lost. Period. Nobody cares about what she said or about what she should've said. It's top level sport which is an allegory of war. And as we know, war is all hell. Life ain't rainbows and butterflies.

I think its true,why would eteri will invent such thing when she knows evgenia will read it somewhere,though evgenia didnt comment on that when she was asked by the russian media,silence means yes
