Alina Zagitova

Diana, Diana .. she began to argue with Zhenya's fans in IG and is now crying, don't do that Diana (((

If you are allowing comments to your instagram posts it is best to do what Alina apparantly does: never read them. Just read messages from people you are friends with on Instagram. Most comments are just silly things and several are even nasty depending on the "mood of the day". Zhenya always took the "give them a piece of my mind" approach when people were being nasty and she put people in their place, sometimes she even closed the comments for a bit, but Zhenya is super tough and can take it (even with nearly 800.000 followers), if you can't it is best to never engage.

They are friends , real friends ...Diana is ill, almost does not hear anything, it's difficult to communicate with her, so few friends. Alina is friends with her from the moment she arrives in Moscow, it does not look like a fake friendship as someone says, because she is the coach's daughter, we saw everything in Periscope

I read somewhere she has a hearing impairment, but it must not be so severe since she can skate, ice dance, and speak very clearly. You can't actually tell when you watch their old periscopes. She has a great sense of humor too and is a very funny girl. I'm glad she found kinship with Alina and they are great friends.

Plushenko speaks the truth!

I'll put this here again because it has never been emphasized enough....

Alina won the Olympics because she had the physical and mental toughness to land the 3lz-3lo in spite of missing the first attempt.

Such poise from a 15 year old.

That to me was the gold medal moment - and it would have been under any scoring system.

That is so true
I was so angry when I read some negative comments about Alina after the OG. I was sooo impressed by her. She had such a difficult program and some people just refused to acknoledge her worth. If it's was so easy, why didn't they all perform like her? (Lz+Lo, backloading etc.) But we all know the answer to this question :rolleye::drama:

That's why I like the Olympics - for moments like these.

The Olympics is not the last stop on a "Coronation Tour" nor is it a "Lifetime Achievement Award"

All of this  you are right. Alina is a remarkable, and rare, athlete and that's why she is an Olympic Gold Medalist. She can thrive in any system.

Diana is ill? What does that mean?

It was upsetting to read that Ed. Eteri and her daughter are very hurt how Zhenya left. I guess Eteri is not as tough as some people say she is.

She very badly hears, since a birth.

In his latest interview Evgeni Plushenko expressed his appreciation for Alina's performances from this season. Thank you, sir! :thank:

Thank you for sharing this wonderful interview :thank: really enjoyed reading it, Plushenko has always been super supportive of Alina and you can see he admires her for what she is able to achieve and recognizes it for the rare thing that it is.

Yeah - I noticed that about the comments - some of her pictures have like a zillion comments!

I doubt all those comments are just "I like your picture"

Seeing some of the comments on the pictures from "TeamZagitova" make me cringe, and others make absolutely no sense at all.

Trying to argue with "trolls" is ultimately a losing battle - you engage them - in their mind they've already won.

I know some people like this. They seem always confident, bossy and push people around them forward. But deep inside, they still have feelings, even if they choose not to show them. A heartbreak can hurt even more when you hide your feelings and keep them secret inside you soul.

Diana wrote in IG to Zhenja fans - My mother did more for Zhenya than for me, my mother cries and she is very sad and I feel bitter to see this every day

If there already wasn't enough evidence - this proves what a wonderful person Alina is.

People have a tendency to lower the bar when speaking to public people (like a limbo dance of bad manners). Even though I don't scroll though comments in any picture featuring Alina sometimes its hard to miss the most recent ones (that show right alongside the picture), it is sad that this even happens. But that's online commenting for you, unless you really make people accountable when they have to comment (like have a confirmed ID type of thing, log IPs, not only linked to existing an email) the crowd runs wild.

On a positive note, when Alina does Instagram Live, and she keeps the comments open, I'm always crossing all my fingers and toes for her, but, for some reason, people are always nice. I'm happy for her.
