I think the whole world is actually a slightly better place because of the joy she is bringing to it with her happiness over Masaru. Alina looks more radiantly happy than when she won Gold!

Watching this girl's dreams come true in spades like this has been one of the best parts of 2018 for me. From winning the OG to this moment has been quite the fun ride. So happy to get to share it with the other posters in this thread! :thank:

Masaru has had multiple press conferences in two countries and has a camera crew following her around Moscow. At this point I won't be surprised if the Japanese media sends someone Izhevsk to cover her arrival there! She might be the most famous dog in all of figure skating at the moment!

I was pleasantly surprised too, him and his wife were super gracious and affectionate with the Masaru, they handled her with extreme care and affection. I'm sure they are big dog lovers too, and it was nice to have them there and yet they let the Akita Inu society have their moment and be protagonists in this story.

I have to say, Masaru is the best brand ambassador for Akita's, that dog had the best disposition and is super adorable. Very cuddly and calm (chew-fest is par for the course in any puppy of any breed). She was never stressed out, cutest dog ever.

Like Finley mentioned, so well in fact, best post, seeing Alina and Masaru will melt even the hardest heart and will brighten any day/month/year. Alina is such a sweet girl, her happiness and excitement are contagious, she always demonstrates how truly happy and grateful she is with any gesture made towards her (big or small). Kudos to her amazing family.
