Ummm no, i am moriel everywhere where I am =)
But yep, good thoughts come into good heads together.

Overall, I disagree with that answer you posted. There are many thing that are not just censorship. As I already answered, for PR, the passage where Zhenya says she likes the program was totally unnecessary. But yeah, maybe, "down with censorship and diplomacy", lets see the real Zhenya. But then, we are not expected to like her as a person - so far, I see a reasonably shallow and PR focused young lady with a rather large ego, which is fairly unpleasant.

Well , what is wrong with PR? Every sportstar does it.

Maybe you should focus on your favourite skater and post not so so often about Zhenya if you do not like her.

I think it's really unfair to expect Evgenia to openly express her dislike of January Stars in the Olympics season. Neither her former team nor RusFed would approve of this. When the rumors about Evgenia's coaching change first came up in March, I remember that RusFed immediately published a press release, saying that such rumors hurt the national team in its preparation for the Worlds. I imagine they would be even stricter about any public image of discord within the team going into the Olympics. I just wish people would consider these circumstances before judging her harshly.

Also, Yulia was also interviewed by Vaits after changing coaches, it's not a betrayal, especially if you consider what their former coach said about them in public. It just means that they aren't bounded anymore by the hostility between their former coach and Vaits. And here, Evgenia didn't even talk openly about her former coaching situation, but oh well, you can't please everyone.

As for the program, we've seen so little of it but to me, it is very incoherent, especially the music cuts. Also, the fact that it was programmed late (was it July?) and still looked very unfinished when Evgenia was about to go into the most important season for her career is just disappointing to me in general.

So, Evgenia wants to take part in open test skates in September? Isn't it a bit too early for her? Everybody will be comparing her with Alina.

Looks like Zhenya’s hatefest to me.:scratch2:
Other Russian ladies are barely mentioned.

Please read the thread. I mean, we have been discussing promising youngsters for pages before people brought that interview.
Zhenya is the reigning silver olympic medalist, and one of the best russian skaters. Makes all sense a good part of this thread is about her.

I do not try to portray her in bad light. I just bring actual things she said. If that portrais her in bad light, not my fault.

About Zhenya and Vaits:
Vaits spent the last two years bashing Zhenya in all possible ways. I mean, it is obviously because Vaits hates Eteri. But still, do not see how we cannot be amused by the 180 degrees turn Vaits takes as soon as a skater leaves Eteri.

I think it will be better for her to go and have less-than-perfect jumps but very promising and fresh programs than not to go at all, which will be seen as a sign of weakness.

I'm not sure on whether she mean test skates or a CS competition? Can any russian speaker enlighten us :)

Well, she is a fighter for sure. But I thought she would prefer to face Alina later in the season. Anyway, it will be also a good chance for her to meet her friends and relatives.

Pogo couldn't leave Kobe because of the earthquake in Japan(5.9)

She was in better shape than I was expecting her to be. Still she has a lot to improve, but her performance was promising. The key point for her will be to bring back a consistent 3lz combination. If she achieves that then she will be on top 5-6 in Russia, which is not bad at all. Giving her the necessary financial support to continue skate competitively.

She says:
Если говорить о сезоне в целом, я не собираюсь пропускать никакие старты. Ни открытые прокаты, ни этапы Гран-При.
Which means "Speaking of the season as a whole, I do not plan skipping any starts. Not open skates, not Grand Prix stages".
Pretty sure its the test skates, not a CS.

Thanks! Wow that's quite soon considering she's starting training now!

She will start her training today according to the interview:
"А с 18-го числа у меня уже подробно расписан тренировочный план"

"I already have a detailed training plan since 18th (June).

I was missing her. Many figure skating fans were missing her.

Same! I actually think that considering what she went through she seems to be in good shape :) Good luck Anna!
