Anna Shcherbakova

So Zhenya has gone to Japan now for the show meaning that Anna will soon be going there. Do you guys think that she will performing her old skates from last year or will we get to see something new for next year as I think Alena said that Anna's skates were done. IMO it will be interesting to see if she will do quads because I think if she doesn't jump them at this show then I don't think she will have them for the junior grand prix stages though as there is a couple months they may be there for grand prix final and russain nats. As well I am really interested to see if there will be any interactions between her and Zhenya either on social media or in the broadcast.

Yeah!! I’m really excited to see Anna perform, and if she’ll have new programs or quads. We’ll find out in a little over 2 days 🤫

I'm not even sure which I want more, to see her new FS or her to perform her last season's FS one last time to an actual audience?

Either way, I am looking forward to seeing how she's doing so much!

She might not have quads yet as they are preparing physical base for the whole season and working on new programs. 2 months are a lot of time though.
I doubt they will let her jump quads there even if she could, after whole trip to and the nerves at her first show abroad ever. Risky stuff, considering how fragile she is. I just hope she'll perform Dreamcatcher for the first and last time before the bigger audience, receive some appreciation and experience and come back safe and healthy. :yay:

Team Eteri is too unpredictable, Anya can as well make two quad attempts like nothing. :)

No one probably needs any quads until December at JGPF

I don't think there will be any quads and there shouldn't. It's a show and under spotlights to do quads with no coaching supervision, not the best thing in my opinion.

She can demonstrate her musicality, her new program maybe and everyone will be more than glad.

for juniors don't make an exhibition programs, usually old sp or fp become in this role, and i think her Dreamcatcher is suitable for gala as well as possible, because many people really like this program.

It's very appealing program and suits her well. Great vehicle to possess some Japanese hearts.

Where can I watch? It will be free? youtube, some stream?
Afaik Japanese strict approach to copyrights, no chances for that. We'll have to wait day or two for tv-rips. :ohwell:

Just a couple more days and I'm so, so so nervous...
Me too. I'll calm down only after first SP in JGP, when Anya's preseason extra physical training is finished and her form is kept high, but steady and with easier periods between competitions.

PS. Two posters in Rus ladies thread posted their junior power lists with Anna on 6th-8th place.
I hope she'll positively surprise everybody! :dev3:

That's the most important thing. I really wish she has a healthy season, more than anything. :sad21:

I agree with your PS. I hope she won't just be an afterthought after the next season...

Yeah, me too. This kid is the most deserving of a healthy and injury-free season :( :)

If you're talking about the initial list I did about junior rankings I would just like to clarify that it was in response to conversation about how the Junior Girls were ranked prior to test skates, i.e. purely off last season. Realistically I think Anna's actual skating ability would easily put her in the top 3/4 even without quads and in a position to fight Trusova for the top spot if she does have quads. The only point I was making is that she will have to fight a bit more for two spots at test skates than either Trusova or Kostornaya who will pretty much be handed two spots so long as they don't have complete meltdowns.

(I'm probably being a bit harsh on Anna but that's only because I like her a great deal. In general I tend to be the most cautious about the skaters which I like the most!)

I saw on the story of one of Anna’s fan accounts on IG that she has already arrived in Japan for Dreams on Ice! No pictures yet though
