Shcherbakova being one of the initial skaters assigned there is very encouraging! Perhaps she won't need to have a huge performance at the test skates after all... Very happy about Tarusina getting her chance, also.

Unfortunately though, I'm not sure how the JGP spots are going to go. There are a total of 10 skaters listed. I have to imagine skaters such as Guliakova, Vasilieva, Sinitsyna and Kostyuk will get the short end of the stick. Hopefully Shcherbakova has an excellent first JGP showing and gets a second assignment.

So confirmation Gubanova is pulling a Stanislava and staying junior for yet another year.. Not sure about that. Same for Guliakova. The main problem is we have reached a point were both senior and junior fields are pretty crowded. :(

For all the ones who believe in the superstition of the First JGP event Scherbakova is going to win it all :D

I just want to see Gubanova on the ice again :sad21: why must there be so many talented russians? :drama: is there still even a tiny chance of her getting the host pick for COR or do i have to start crying now? :slink:

There are a lot of experienced girls. Schaller, Feigin, Cotop, Spours, Leung, Tornaghi. And of course main opponent for Russian girls is Yuhana Yokoi from Japan. She is an elite level junior skater.

The good thing is that she can now farm senior challenger series. For winning 2 of them she would get 600 world standing points and due to the overscoring, should be able to secure senior GP spots for next season.

Still, I am not sure how much she can do in juniors at this point. Seniors would be a more receptive venue for sure, that I'm convinced of. In general, her potential PCS advantage amounts to nothing at JGP due to TES being nearly the only thing that actually matters there.

"Junior skater". What on earth is Yuhana Yokoi still doing in juniors? Imagine if Medvedeva started competing in juniors the next season.

Anyway, she's no threat.

And also we'll see Pooja Kalyan's performance. She is a promising US skater.

Japan hasn't got such abundance of great junior skaters as Russia now and there aren't any free spots in Japan senior team. So Yuhana should wait and earn her chance to establish herself in seniors.

I don’t know how to copy Instagram stories and repost them but I really wish someone would grab Serafima’s stories from today.

In Chrome:

1. Open an instastory
2. Press F12
3. Ctrl+F -> "mp4"
4. If a link like https://scontent-arn2-1.cdninstagram.com/*** is not selected, click the arrow down near the search field in the bottom
5. Right click -> open in a new tab

You must do it quickly, before the instastory ends.

Here you go:

 Well... if they fail to get the gold medal they won't have a another chance in JGP... if they grab a silver medal probably they won't have another chance in jgp ....:devil:no pression at all....

Now we Know the RoC spot won't be for Anastasiia GUBANOVA ... well the best way to get one day a spot in the GP is throughthe others seniors competitionss ... I don't think that she can win a clean kostornoia, TRUSOVA or SHCHERBAKOVA ... and that means in russian world not a 2 jgp to her...

Rusfed do skate test for juniors? Anyone knows when they will be?

i'm pissed that they're sending anna tarusina. it's just a waste of spot. i understand that they won't wanna send someone like trusova or kostornaya against shcherbakova but there are lots of other "second tier" choices like kanysheva or vasilieva or sinitsyna. tarusina is old (i mean hey she's eligible for senior already) and she doesn't have the difficulty or anything really special, it's really a waste of spot i wish they would just let her go senior and give her some challenge cup events. russia never make use of those competition spots anyway...

I feel so out of place here only knowing these girls
Anna SHCHERBAKOVA
Anastasiia GUBANOVA (S)
Alena KOSTORNAIA (S)
Anastasia TARAKANOVA (S)
Alexandra TRUSOVA (S)
:laugh2: :slink:

She can do challenger cup even if she takes part in JGP...?

And she's not a "waste of a spot", consider her circumstances. She had JGP spots 2 years ago already, then she got in the shuttle bus accident, injured her knee and had some other surgeries as well as far as I'm aware, the next season she was recovering from injury and now she's a "waste of a spot". Sheesh. She's the elder age champion and was the most consistent skater in the world last season.

And by the way, you bringing up Vasilieva who's the same age as Tarusina as an option is ironic because Tarusina is far more accomplished.

Gubanova is among JGP subs so it seems RusFed is not going to give her Rostelecom spot.
Could she get it if she is just a sub without actually skating at all?

And Tarusina is the Elder Age champion and has 3Lz-1Lo-3F

Appears that Tomoe Kawabata could be a contender since she had a second half 3Lz-3Lo. But I trust in Anna + Anna
