Alina Zagitova

If you watch all Alina's SP from Samson and Delilah onward, you can see that the step sequences are recylced. Not all of them, but many of them. Danil copy and pasted alot of them into POTO. He didn't do that with the FS, but it looks as if he didn't add many new types of StSq into POTO.

No I can't see that at all... i really don't have a clue what you're trying to say. Of course there will be some similarities between step sequences... that doesn't mean they are recycled.

Some skaters program step sequences are very distinguished from one season to the next. Whereas some skaters have very similar step sequences from previous programs, it's almost hard to tell whether it's a recycle or a similar derivative. Believe me, I want Alina to win, but I'm a bit upset that Danil gave her similar choreo as the last two programs. I'm not attacking her in any way. I am really just complaining about Danil. But then again, I liked his Black Swan SP last year, so I can't say I dislike all his programs. I really like his programs for the Jr Eteri girls this season (except Anna's). But I always felt with Danil, it's a hit or miss program. Unfortunately for me, POTO is a miss program mainly because it looks too similar. The Free, however doesn't. Which I appreciate.

That choreographic sequence could be made really good...

Is there suppose to be a split jump at the beginning of her choreographic sequence? Because that really ought to be a big split jump.

And then hold the ina bauer a little longer and come out fearce and meanacing or whatever and forcefully go to a back spiral like this one she did before her first junior season: https://youtu.be/afg-vfhz-FA?t=3m58s

split jump - forward spiral - ina bauer - back spiral

I really like the beginning of Carmen. The movements accentuate the musical notes really well in the beginning.

No, Sergey Buyanov, a former ice skater. It's speculated that the whole Davis thing is a cover-up by Eteri. Just wanted to point out that it's a wild rumor and hasn't been confirmed.

I didn't know about this rumor at all. I hope life is not like that Dallas-like plot

Tarasova has an incredible record that's really unprecedented in figure skating coaching history. But her time is past her time has come and gone. when she was in her prime as a coach Russia was the dominant country followed by America now there are more countries that are good at figure skating including countries such as Japan and Korea and that was not the case when TAT was a great coach.
TAT is a legend but.
There Were not more countries good at figure skating not because TAT was so good that she was making Russia win everything. But because those countries had not developped strong figure skating programs yet.
She should take Mishin as example on being a legend but not bashing left and right.

You must have missed the amount of jabs Mishin had at Hanyu :sarcasm:. All famous coaches have another coach's student that are like a thorn in their eye which they take a dig at, including Morozov , Orser etc. After all the rise of another skater means a threat to their own students or their legacy. In fact, does Eteri criticise other coach's students (that is not her ex-student) less? I can't recall one off the top of my head, but correct me if I am wrong.

Back to Alina, I finally had the chance to catch up on Russian test skates. I was probably one of the few people who kinda liked her POTO program at the Ice show, and is happy to see it vastly improved already. As someone earlier said, I like the "trailer of a movie in 2 min" feel to it. Too bad about Carmen, I hope it all comes together by Helsinki where I will be seeing her skate:luv17:. I look forward to the costumes, I think the POTO program will be really enhanced by a well designed skirt.

I never heard Eteri talking about other skaters than those she trained. During this spring her statement was posted here, she said to her own students something like this: "If somebody is capable of being your opponent, then he deserves respect."

Of course I don't know what she thinks privately, as a professional she must follow what others do, but as far as I know, she did not say it publicly, in good or bad way.

Da. Mishin is an all-time great coach and a gentleman as well.

I told you, Tat just says whatever she thinks whether it pisses people off. Have you seen what she just said about Elena? she's just nasty sometimes. Alina go the nicest criticism i'd say. https://twitter.com/sports_figskat/status/1039050035328151552 :confused2:

You shouldn't pay attention to her. She's like that. She has too much power for anybody to tell her to shut her mouth. Funny how people have been praising her lately because of her support for Orser's team when she can be vile to skaters, much more than Eteri has ever been at least in public :rolleye:

Her 3lz-3t with Rippon on both jumps is an absolute stunner. As spectacular as her 3lz-3lo. When this program comes together, I think I'll be OBSESSED. :) :)

Someone remove Navi's posts from this thread please! :palmf:

@ yoloaxel i don't find Tat funny honestly because i know the things she says can reach skaters and break their spirit and confidence. Even about Elena, we all know gaining weight can be detrimental to your skating but if she cared enough she could have gone to her coaching team and told them privately to maybe look at her weight instead of dragging her like that in public. What a mess! Imagine being a skater who's already struggling with pressure and reading this :(

I may not agree with a lot of what NaVi say's, but I don't like also the removing of posts. I think Alina's thread is one of the most open to criticism and I like it and in a sense I would like to remain that way.

This is Alina's fanfest, there's no need to discuss Zhenya's scores here. It has no relevance. It's annoying really to try and avoid the whole zhenya vs Alina mess by finding a safe space in the fan fests and see it turn to just that again and again. I'm completely fine with people giving opinions about Alina's programs even if negative, that is actually what we should be discussing now: Alina's programs, possible layout and upcoming season.
