I think ISU page is right, because if there is Slovak skater instead of Alina, she propably replace her. If it will be just mistake, the start lists will be similar just without Alina, but in that case she propably really withdrow. We will see :)

But is she really withdraw It will be for good reason. But still I'm sad :D

To me it looks like Alina has withdrawn. The page Atsumiri found is presumably out of date/hasn't been updated yet as at the time of it's publishing Alina was still on the ISU listing. I would love to see her skate here but if she needs a little bit more time to feel confident in her programs then I understand/support the decision.
 
If the reason is to give her more time to prepare I’m all for it. I’m just sad that we won’t see Carmengitova until Japan Open.
 
So this means we will see her at Japan Open on 6th of October? That is not such a long period. I just hope she is okay.
 
Well, as long as it's just because her coaches thought she needed more time to prepare, it's fine. She's going to Japan Open anyway, so maybe they decided not to overstress her.
 
The only thing that matters is Alinka's health and well-being. :pray: I was a little bit surprised to see a possible WD a day before the competition, but I am sure I was overreacting.
 
Yes, let's all calm down. It could be anything. Maybe Alina needs more time to prepare. Maybe Alina's passport had problems. Maybe Masaru is getting skating lessons from Eteri and needs her owner to stay in Moscow hold her paw. Whatever it is, I'm sure that Alina is fine and will have a great season.

I don't know how reliable are they really. My heart chooses to believe them because I don't want to think that an injury could happen to Alinka :sad21:
 
She can be ill, it happen often that you are ill after flight. If the is in Bratislava, tha plan was to compete, but if she withdrawn it does not mean she is injured. Aftera while there will be any statement I'm sure because everybody expect her to compete and some other tutberitze skaters are there so the reportes will ask her team.

Maybe comments were wrong about Alina being in Bratislava.
there're could be a lot of reasons. Maybe her skates did not arrive. The first practice should be tomorrow morning. She could catch cold.
She could even WD a week ago, but ISU didn't updated their list.

I don't want to link to a translation of the article, because 99% is not about Alina, but some of the main things Eteri talks about regarding quads is....

She has 2 skaters doing quads
She realizes the physical dangers of trying quads
First try the quad using a rod - reduces the danger by 50%
Not neccessary for all of her skaters to do quads
It is up to the skater whether or not they want to try
Need to learn quad before physiological changes take place
After that, the skaters are just trying to keep the jumps they have already learned

I thought it was very informative.
 
I don't think she withrawn before, because today I read Slovak article (published today) that she will be there.
