2018-19 U.S. Ladies' figure skating

i'd put money on it she'll be on the world podium this year if she keeps skating like this. her improvement even since February is just astounding. she EMOTED

She got called on 3loop UR, 3toe in second half 3 jump and 3flip. She will need to improve that for her GP's but still got big points on the lutz loop and 3-3-2 because of the difficulty.

The second two don't surprise me since they were pretty noticeable in real time, but I am surprised about the loop since it looked clean on the replay.

What surprises me most, though, is how close they scored Bradie to Evgenia on components (which I agree with). She beat Evgenia on TR and PE and they tied on CH.

I believe Alissa Ciszny won the Grand Prix Final Gold in 2010. She also won Nebelhorn that year. Ashley medaled in the 2012 GP Final.

First time to post on this forum however I have read it religiously for years. Please don't rip me apart if I made a redundant post or maybe misunderstood the question....

This is going to be a very interesting season as the senior ladies transition out of competitive careers, opening up the ranks for junior skaters.

I can see it. This lady has spunk. She is strong and competitive. I kind of thought she is the new Kaetlyn Osmond only stronger. With Evgenia innjured, Osmond semi retired for this year, Alina's growth and Satoko's smallish jumps we could be crowning Queen Bradie:)

I’m really thrilled Bradie did so well this year! I think she’s gained some confidence over the summer and I really like the new programs. (And on perhaps a shallower note, her R&J headband is beautiful!)

I think some things for her to work on going forward are her split/falling leaf jumps which don’t seem to be very high yet, and her spirals. Her traveling camel spin also isn’t the most graceful yet but I think she can get it smoother, hopefully in time for nationals. Really excited about the 3Lz-3Lo combo. I love that a US lady is upping the technical content and consistency.

Bradie's consistency is simply amazing. It's only September, she's already 90% in shape, and isn't intimidated by anyone. Anyone who said she probably couldn't make the GPF better think again!

I think Bradie has a very good chance to make the GPF this season and will stay until the next Olympics, and probably will be the US champion for a number of years to come.

She got L4 with high +GOE on all her spins, in fact on all her non-jump elements.

Right, but I don’t think level 4 spins and aesthetically pleasing, elegant elemebts are one and the same (as anyone who loves the classic laybacks will tell you, sometimes less is more).

I haven't followed much skating news lately, is Gracie Gold still attempting a comeback this year?

Bradie showed improvement this year, it will be interesting to see how that improvement continues during the season.

I was really impressed with Starr Andrews' two programs. Loved her jumpsuit at the Autumn Classic, and I had no idea she was going to attempt the triple axle. I hope she can improve upon her standing from last year's Nationals.

I have to say that if Bradie’s loop combo is URed then Zagi’s is URed too.

In front of the same TP maybe yes. I wouldn’t say either are really prone to it though by any means so maybe not

I saw on Twitter Bradie beat Evengia and I was so suprised. Definitely was impressed by Bradie's technical content, but I'm not a fan of the program overall. It just seems like there's a lot of leaning down in the first part.

I have only watched Bradie's SP, but from what I saw she is really challenging herself choreographically. She is so confident in her jumps that she is able to commit to selling her program, and it's great to see. I'm looking forward to watching her progress this season.
