Omg, she was about to try a 3Lz from a Charlotte. :shocked:
This girl is unstoppable. What’s next? Backflips with a Charlotte exit?
What was the jump she did out of the Charlotte at the end of the Gala when she came back out on the ice.
It was a triple, but I couldn't make out what it was.

Oh my good I just saw the EX performance and..it's insane! :eeking: Who is that beautiful, confident woman? Is it our Alinka? She grew so much, not only physically but in terms of performance, she really is an entertainer, you can tell the audience loved her.
All the jacket tricks, the dance in the middle of the rink, the 3Lz after a Charlotte, a cantilever, her smile, that confidence and ability to enjoy everything that she's experiencing. The program suits her perfectly, she is a survivor, she is a hard-worker, and nothing can stop her now.
How our dear friend EdRoz stated above, it was a perfect weekend for us, I am so thankful because Alinka is giving us so many reasons of joy and happiness. :luv17:

That's an example of Alina's competitive mind - something did not went good for the first time? Let's do it again and better. Even if it is just an ex program.

I love the little dance break in the middle of her gala! She really is one of Team Tutberidze's best dancers, and I think this gala shows she's developed a lot of musicality that wasn't there in years before. I can't wait to see this in higher quality at GPF, Euros, and Worlds!

Thank you! This is amazing. I saw these two pictures of Alina doing DQ here, and they looked absolutely amazing. I thought they were photoshopped at first, but I now know where they came from.
I especially like the Ina Bauer one...it looks like her inner star power is so strong, it's physically shining out of her.

But my main thought was, if Alina is wearing the black tank top and black pants Evgenia had last season, does that mean her tiger costume was passed down to Sasha?

Oof I’ve never been a mega-Alina fan, but I think this competition definitely changed that. She definitely hasn’t lost that drive to succeed since the Olympics (and worlds definitely helped that), and it’s inspiring to see her having a good time competing.
I’ve never really liked her programs, but maaan is that EX good. And she clearly loves her Carmen program, so it’s hard not to be excited to see it grow. I really think (fingers crossed) that this will be a better season for her than last year despite all her accomplishments. She seems (at least from a fan perspective) to be in a position to better handle the pressure and really enjoy competing, which didn’t really seem as present last year. Good luck in the Japan Open, Alina!!!
