Alina Zagitova

Just passing by to say that I love this fan fest. Even if I'm still mostly a lurker, I very enjoyed spending this weekend reading it and sharing our love for Alina. I'm so very glad that such an happy place exists and, for the sake of my mental balance, I will force myself to stay away from other threads and random stupid comments on the internet. :)
Happy life to everyone.

Such a beautiful post, this fan fest is like my little heaven, too :luv17: Every time I've read a post of yours, I've always appreciated it, so thanks for taking time and share with us your kind words about our sweet Alinka

This is very sweet of you! If this memory stays in teamzagitova's archive, I would be honoured!

I want to thank you all for the kind words and I wish you to meet Alina Zagitova one day too. She will travel more and more, to Asia, America, even Australia. All of you will have this opportunity sooner or later, let's just hope that Alina stays healthy!

Maybe someday we will make a GS fanfest live meeting, somewhere at a competition where we will be able to meet Alinka, too. A girl can dream, right?

Just watched the EX. I think the music suits very well to her story. She survived to many things. Puberty, harsh comments and behavior after worlds, Tarasova, etc. She's not done, she's a survivor.
About Carmen, i re-watched that program multiple times because the technical brillance is impressive. Daniil and Eteri put almost every jump on music like in Don Quichotte. And the music cuts are great.

don't let her fool you, she is evil! (according to the some users)

Is she evil because she asks for homework to be done?
We all know how good Eugenia was when she was with Eteri, and what she is capable of now, when she is with Brian.

So, Eteri is not an evil, she knows what needs to be done to get on a top, and she also knows what each skater is capable of and she tries to reach each skater that they can understand their ability. Lock at all Eteri's girls - Sasha, Alina, Alena, Anna - each of them have different programs, programs which suits them, which they can deliver.

Have you ever meet Eteri? Have you ever talk to her? You judge her because somebody said something. But, maybe that somebody is jealous and said bad words on purpose? You never know, because you were not there.

^ at this rate posters will have to wave 'sarcasm' flag every time they say something sarcastically... (seems explanation in brackets and a smiley emoji were not enough) :/

I really hope we get a full HD 1080px video of Alina's Carmen in Japan so her costume and her facial expressions will come alive in their full glory.

The video quality in German was awful. I don't think we got half the amazingness this time around.

Don't disappoint, Japan!

bewitched, thank you for sharing your story. I felt like I was there with you! Loved seeing the beautiful pictures of you two together.

White Prophet, love your posts.

Nebelhorn felt like a fairy-tale. Alina's costumes are amazing. She's never looked more beautiful. Her skating was brilliant! Has Eteri ever looked happier with Alina? The judges were definitely buying what she was selling and gave her the scores she deserved. Everything was perfect. And then it got better! Her exhibition number is straight fire!!!

Watching the fans greet Alina at the airport and seeing her hug Diana and catching a glimpse of her grandmother smiling proudly felt like the perfect happy ending.

We have a pretty broad spectrum of nationalities posting in this thread. Also a wide age range with posters from different cultures and with different senses of humor. Things are bound to get lost in translation when English isn't everyone's 1st language. Some misunderstandings are inevitable, but as long as we hug it out in the end it's all good.
:console: :ghug:

Over at FSO, a poster said that he didn't like the EX because, in his mind, it was basically Eteri speaking through Alina, saying that she is a survivor, instead of focusing on Alina herself. I haven't thought of it that way, but ok... :slink:

"Eteri Derangement Syndrome" is running wild.

Couple of time reading Alina interview indicates she can only share her feeling with animal. I feel a bit sad for her. Here is the song hope she can hear and particularly pay attention to the lyrics.https://youtu.be/zFclcgL2bO0

I believe some of the text is foreign language and I have no idea what it is...Looks like Asian language.

Also survived broken leg, broken hand, moving away from home and parents at 13 only to be kicked out by coach. Can't think of someone better to have this gala program!

As I said before, I had to punish myself for criticizing the POTO and Carmen before the start of the season, calling these programs old and warhorses :palmf:. I did this - I ate three licorice sweets today :drama:. I hope that this is enough and I will be forgiven . I do not want to jump from the balcony, I have the seventh floor

I was wondering in which year she had broken leg and arm and how old she was while started to train under Eteri. I could not found it. If she've started work with Eteri when she was 13, broke leg and arm and in 14 she dominate her international debut season with wins at JWCH and JGP Final and placed 2nd after Evgenia at the National championschip. It's look almost impossible. And after two years she won OG .. I have no words ..

When you imagine what progress she has made in such a short time, and how much she progress again since Olympics, then we have something to look forward to. She is still very young and she progress by mile steps.

Maybe she started with Eteri at 12? I'm not sure though, someone please jump in if you know! But I do know at first she didn't live in Moscow, I believe she made the commute to the rink but again I'm not sure. And I believe she said she broke her leg at a specific competition, so I'm sure you could dig that up if you'd like!

moving away from home and parents at 13 only

Alina moving to Moscow in early 2014 according to her previous coach Natalia Antipina:
http://izhlife.ru/story/78544-trener-zagitovoy-pereehav-v-moskvu-alina-dvazhdy-travmirovalas-no-spravilas-s-ispytaniyami.html
After moving to Moscow, Alina twice injured: in the spring of 2014 she had a broken arm and leg. Anyone else in the place of Alina and her parents would have thought, is it worth further to do figure skating, is it not a sign that it's time to tie with sports? But Alina strong and coped with the tests.
So she wasn't even 12yo yet.
