the thing is not about foreign judges.. i used to see how every judge is very "kind" towards compatriots.. but it was something else - ALL foreign judges put Alina into the first place, and ALL three pro-russian judges put her into the second place behind Medvedeva.. the bias is so obvious, it's hilarious..

As you said, it's not that weird that Canadian judge was for Kaetlyn. It's always at least a little bit subjective, when there are judges, jury, etc. You feel better for your favorites. But what the Russian judges did was silly and sad. Yea they lover their 2 time world champion, but dit dit agains other russian girl? And it coud easily be agains them in one second, Alina skate before Zhenya, so it they will be succesful with degradation of Alina and Zhenya fall after that, the Russian could be without gold. I'm glad Alina won despite everything.

BTW I'm not Zhenya's hater, I like her too, but I always watched her just because she is good so you cannot mised her skate, its a joy to watch, but Alina has something why I must cheer for her, you cannot stop watch her. Sometime I feel a little bit sad for both of them, they are just young girls, just skate and ruin the world together, it was so painful for Zhenya and hard for Alina just because of that, and everybody including judges, reporters, russians, etc. made everything even worth ..

Alina has happines in her eyes and when whey are walking away in the airport they was going side by side while Eteri was in front of them. It look like they have very nice friendship. (and luckily Diana is ice dancer so they'll never compete agains each other )

I read the article and got caught up in what it had to say and responded emotionally. I deleted some of my responses but not before a few of them were quoted.

You are right. There's no sense in dwelling in negativity from 6 months ago. Especially since it all worked out in spades for Alina! Every single thing that happened has been a part of putting her where she is right now. If one thing had been different everything might be different. All of it made Alina a......wait for it......Survivor!

Sorry I should have been more specific. GPF is December 6-9 and Rus Nats is December 19 - 23. Should be exciting!
