Congrats to Trusova on the first ladies' quad lutz! Interesting how the first men's quad lutz (Mroz) and the first ladies' quad lutz (Trusova) were kinda similar in that the landing was fought for and the skater almost touched down, but they hung on to make history.
If Trusova throws in the 4Ts back in and even the 4S at some point, she'll challenge Zagitova and distance herself even further than she already is. Hope she can maintain this, because so far she's on fire.![]()
Now that it has been ratified, I hope she stops doing it. I've watched her crash on it over and over, and it isn't worth the points. She has seemed a bit under the weather at this JGP, I hope she rests and heals before the final. It is nice that her mother and grandmother are with her, and she seemed so relieved after she skated. I remember back in the day when Weiss was trying to land a 4L, I'm not sure he ever did land it in competition. It is amazing that these two little girls can do this. Just amazing. But scary.
