Alexandra Trusova

Very well aware.
Moreover, Kihira will start much later. But her layout is maximized for now.
Trusova still may adjust.

Kihira will likely skate for safe and going to win her competition but not the absolute one. Trusova is well below in SP but still may trash the FP record. And the total, potentially.

Again, do you understand they don't meet in a competition? There is no way their score would decide anything. There is no such a thing as "win absolute competition". Any comparison of total score between junior and senior is nothing more than of orientation. There are different rules for juniors and seniors when it comes to valid elements, they are scored differently in PCS (e. g. junior ladies are forbidden to do quad or 3A in SP), so you are measuring apples and peaches If anyone of them would have higher score than the other, it means literally nothing. Seriously, where is your sense.

Tomorrow she is going for the death match. Against Kihira. It could be the last one for her.

The best comment I've read so far. Trusova does not skate to win the junior, it is obvious that he already won, he would have to fall on his 3 quads to lose, and that is impossible. His fight is against Kihira for reign 2019-2020.

I really liked Alexandras's reactions and relax attitude after SP. The smiley look to the coaching team after messing a bit the last spin. Even before the bow.

But mostly the seriousness she gets when she realizes that Anna is last https://youtu.be/YCE_sVN2SUY?t=503  :(

Great skate from Sasha! What a save at the end. The new dress is better the previous outfit, but it would still have been more cool with a yellow tracksuit. Good luck on Saturday.

Was there any reason given why she changed the SP costume? She seems taller to me than just a few weeks ago so maybe she outgrew it? If so, the question is: will we see a new FS dress/jumpsuit too? I actually liked her FS costume so I wouldn‘t if she kept it but there must have been a reason for the change. Anna and Alyona didn‘t have new dresses after all. If she has grown, though... then applause to her for managing to still land quads and her 3Lz-3Lo so flawlessly.

This instagram page has lots of great videos about the GPF, including Sasha:

Apparently her run through wasn‘t that good but she did lots of quads and many of them seemed to be clean.

And I also noticed the change of expression when she saw Anna‘s score. She was smiling before but then she looked really serious. It was like her asking: What happened???“

:jaw: Whoa! That is amazing! We knew she was a fierce competitor, but I didn't know that her intensity was so strong it would materialize into a dragon! That's impressive! :laugh2::rofl:

Trusova had a great practice earlier today.

Video of the start of her runthrough here: https://twitter.com/shoshpd/status/1071453692614701056

According to Jackie Wong's practice report she had no falls or step outs on any of her quads today. She did 2S, 3S(step), 3Lo, 3F, 3Lz3T, 3Lo, 3Lz3Lo, 3Lo, 3Lz, 3Lz1Eu3S, 3Lz3Lo, 3Lz3T3Lo, 3T, 4T, 3Lz, 4Lz3T, 4Lz(ur), runthru (4Lz3T, 4Lz(ur), 4T(ur?), 2A, 3Lz3Lo, 3Lz1Eu3S(ur,turn), 3F), 3Lz1Eu3S, 3Lz3Lo.

Silly question here: why does she finish her program at the side of the rink rather than in the middle?

That‘s what always bothers me too. It‘s unique, I guess, but I‘m still like: “That‘s not the middle, Sasha!!“ everytime.

Sasha looked a bit nervous today. Although she lost today, it was a great accomplishment. No one can win every competition, she will surely grow from today’s experience.

What I admire about Sasha is that she is so strong mentally. After the skate she could even grin and laugh right away.

Everyone is celebrating Alena K's win, but I hope that Sasha is not disheartened. In sport, you win some, you lose some. Sasha took a risk this time, and it didn't pay off, but she is still the first lady to attempt three quads. That's more than what a lot of senior men try.

Go Sasha! :hap10:
