Alina Zagitova

Yes! It is hard to appreciate Alina's illusions fully until I saw other skaters doing them :p

Alina's spins in general are so superior, though I really like Anna S' half Biellmann and Kamila V's flying camel too

Yup, some of them look like helicopters crashing into the ground, others look passable but travel so much people should need a passport to do them, then....all lights up....and you see Alina...tight, fast spins, stuck to the ground like she is glued to her spot. It is magic.

Wish it was worth 11BV, it should be.

EdRoz! Alina's guard is needed! People are implying that her injury was fake. Sigh.... I'm so proud of Alina for what she was able to put out and how much she has grown. She really is a true champion.

 that is a riot.....by Ted Barton of all people....he was the one who talked about it (only one in fact, he probably saw it live as he was right there at the arena).

Her team never made any pronouncements about it, neither did Alina, she gave tons of interviews and stayed quietly owning her performance and her missed combo never assigning blame for it to anything else.

RusFed probably was asked for a quote on it because it's been the whisper of the internet ever since Ted announced it.

It is impossible to argue and prove something in Russian lady thread , there live and write characters from series
“Numb3rs”, “Lie to me”, “Bones” and most of them is Mentalists

only Avengers can help

That means everything is okay! Eteri and Daniil would never let her jump 3-3-3 if the injury was serious. Relieving to see.

I‘m excited to see the hair band today in the ex. I‘m always counting the seconds she has left to tie her hair, wondering whether she can make it in time. It feels like hair band and zipper are Alina‘s greatest challenges.

Collars maybe beats those two, I think. :)

Who is saying this? Alina never mentioned this and never brought up stepping on the cable wire. Alina saves not responsible so what an announcer says.

Some people found their imaginary windmills in Alina to fight... The human soul is an abyss...

What is that logic?

Is there some history about him I am missing or why would anybody think Ted Barton of all people is lying? He seems very professional, honest and hard working and not interested in gossip but making FS more popular.

It’s just a few posters who like to bash Alina every chance they get. I tried to engage as did Spirals for Miles but ultimately it’s pointless. Best not to feed the trolls, as their purpose is to rile us up. Alina is the best and has OGM which is why she’s such a target. Their nonsense won’t change any of that.

I saw NBC's coverage today and Tara and Johnny were kind to a Alina they did not bury her. but I must say how much more womanly Alina is this year than a year ago. She is making adjustments on the fly for being 2 or 3in taller and maybe 10 pounds heavier than she was a year ago. and let's be honest it took a tremendous effort from Rika to beat her and the Grand Prix final.

Welcome back

Edited to add: What was going on with Yagudin? Yagudin gave an interview saying that second place is not a tragedy. sports.ru deleted his interview, so he posted the article to his IG with an angry message about media creatures and tagged @azagitova. Yagudin came in second the entire 2000-01 season to Plushenko, but he rallied and won everything in 2002, so I can see why he would not think second place is a tragedy.

I like that Mr. Yagudin isn't afraid to mix it up with the negative nellies of the media.
He will find out eventually, like others before him, that it's like talking to a brick wall.
But it is a cathartic release anyway.

I am glad that he is in Alina's corner.
