I agree that she‘s looking awesome. Her jumps were huge and confident, not even a slight wobble. I‘m so looking forward to seeing her slay tomorrow and I‘m very happy that she seems totally fit after the train ride that admittedly had me worried a bit.

But I don‘t think she‘ll do 3F-3Lo, it‘s just the back-up plan she‘s training in case she misses the 3Lz-3Lo (she won‘t but she‘s well-prepared and clever to have a plan b that works so well). On the 3F where she did the second loop she‘ll do the 2t-2Lo, the last 3F will be solo. Otherwise she‘d repeat two lutzes, flips and loops and do three 3-3 which isn‘t possible.

I am so nervous and excited for this to start!! The competition is at 5am in my timezone, so I'm torn between ignoring the forums and watching the skates for myself or just reading spoilers so I'm not panicking when Alina takes the ice. Decisions, decisions.

there're reasons. and really good reasons.
Her teammates don't receive that much hate and pressure from the media and other "so called experts".
And there're 1st channel who is paying for rights to stream ladies (JUST LADIES) practices. So it's a show. and somebody need to provid it. And her teammates helped with it.
While Alina got one more a low-stress day to practice at home.

Thank you for being a voice of reason. I don't know why I got worried about the train trip. Probably the idea of 10 hrs got me. I don't even want to do something I like for 10 hrs.

Alina did great, she had a fantastic skate with all clean elements.

I got very emotional watching it, Alina gives me goosebumps every time I watch her skate, it's like magic coming to life right before my eyes.

She looked emotional and happy as she finished and I'm super happy for her!!!

This is our girl, a great performer and a great person.

Thrilled for Alina! She had a fabulous free skate despite looking so nervous beforehand, and it's great to see her smile in the K&C. Now get some rest and slay in the FS!

I think she should've gotten 39, at the very least!!!!

(and I am not kidding) this girl is so good she makes good look easy.

Everyone else would have their turn in the carousel of life, they are working hard and will get there.

Well it is Russian Nationals so PCS may be a teensy bit higher than what she may get at international comps but I'm just going to be happy that she skated clean and well because the pressure on her for this comp could very well be higher than even at the GPFs. Plus she was recently injured too. So she did marvellously and deserves the score!
