I love the French ladies but Leonova is BETTER than them and Hicks/Glenn/Chen. The only other country where Leonova might not go to Worlds besides Russia and Japan is the US and that’s because they have 2 spots. Leonova would be a definite #3 there and imo would be very competitive for the #2 spot. Leonova could easily still finish in the top 10 at Worlds when she skates her best and is still one of the best skaters in the world...she’s just not one of the best skaters in Russia sadly.

I am sure 99.9% sure it will be Alina Sofia and Liza. They earned their spots.
You mean I forgot Stanislava? I meant for the third spot to replace Stanislava (in case they decide to replace her) I believe only Lisa and Evgenia would be considered.

Don’t get me started on PCS. How does someone like Leonova barely get 8’s yet Samarin is almost breaking into 9’s? I’m sick of how it’s scored as a combination of senior reputation/big fed backing/consistency/big tech. THAT ISNT WHAT PCS IS NOR HOW IT SHOULD BE SCORED!!!

I love Lena, and have really missed her these last 2 seasons. I will gladly root for her should she become competitive again.

Well, Zhenya or Alina may be called unstable this season but Maria is unfortunately very stable in messing up the second half of her free program.

I don’t think there was a livestream, but a few short story clips from practice came from the Instagram account @sergeyvetchinkin. If you find his account today you’ll probably be able to watch the story? It’s not much, but it’s better than nothing.
Based on those few clips, Sasha might have put that 4Lz on hold. Now she starts with a 4T3T, then another 4T, and I don’t know what comes after that because the video cut off. So either she’s moved the 4Lz to her third element or she just isn’t doing it at junior nationals.
Not much about the other competitors.

With how it's been going, it might be wise to step back a bit.
There is a new article/interview popping up on twitter, by Trusova's old coach, and I think it is primarily about Eteri's methods, perhaps? Google translate is terrible. I'm hoping someone here can restate the bullet points. It looked like in one part he was saying that Trusova didn't really seem all that talented as a kid, and I would sort of agree-I saw a video of her when she was 8, and it was pretty much meh-she's okay. I don't think I ever would have thought she was capable of what she is doing now.
Not sure the article even says this, but does anyone really think Trusova is miserable? Kids (fan club) scream when she skates and crowd her in Russia. She loves to jump. (no one is forcing her). She seems to thrive in this environment, and I don't think pressure by Eteri has anything to do with it.

I think it's an interesting article and it's interesting to see that she still has the drive to compete. Makes me excited what she will do next seasonSeems nobody will stream practices.
The 1tv.ru channel will stream only competitions, probably with geoblock as before.
The youtube JuniorsTV channel has scheduled a lot of live streams from the Russian Junior Nationals for the coming weekend (from Saturday till Monday).
Unfortunately I'm not allowed to post here the live link in my first post. Hope somebody will post that links instead of me.
