2018-19 Russian Ladies' figure skating

Can anyone post the results in English? If Trusova finishes outside of top 3 does this mean she won’t go to junior worlds?

I am afraid, its seems very possibe. They don´t want to send all three Eteri girls and Sasha is the most vulnerable right now. (Alena JGPF , Anna Russian Champion). Its interesting that even her PCS are low, even the girls who scored behind Sasha scored higer with PCS.

Tomorrow she need to pull her quads. Good luck!

Sasha is the defending Junior Worlds Champion and silver medalist at both JGPF and Senior Nationals. If they won‘t send her to Junior Worlds no matter what, I‘ll be beyond baffled. She is about 10 points behind Alena. That‘s one quad. I think she can and will easily reach the podium. The question is just what place it will be. But junior Worlds without Sasha? I think not.

Besides, we know that girl and after that fluke fall today she‘ll be on fire tomorrow. There‘s no way she‘ll leave the gold to the others without a fight.

But Sasha’s PCS isn’t low. She got a 34. That’s third highest and tied with Anna even with a fall. None of the girls who scored behind Sasha scored higher in PCS, so maybe you saw wrong?

Really? According to the link at https://www.fsrussia.ru/results/1819/junnat1819/SEG003.HTM , the only two skaters who got awarded higher PCS are Scherbakova and Kostornaia (who are also currently ranked in the top two spaces).

Exactly. Sasha and Anna were tied in PCS despite the former having a fall and Anna skating one of her best SP so far. It was unfortunate that Sasha fell but that happens sometimes, even to her. Tomorrow she‘ll have a new chance and I‘m sure she‘ll use it. She‘ll be fine and we‘ll see 3A at Worlds unless something really, really crazy happens.

Ooh Alena you were magnificent. Also great job from Anna. I'm just not as invested in her, but amazing skate. I wouldn't worry about Sasha, she is a fighter, she won't lay down and cry tomorrow.

If they send anybody but the 3 As to worlds they are stupid. The other girls aren't near their scoring potential. In the short maybe, but in the LP Sasha and Anna pull their quads.

Question - to you guys see much room for growth with Alena?
I can see how Sasha & Anna can still improve their Components immensely and if they do that boy o boy. But Alena already has such amazing interpretation and posture, ss and flow across the ice. She also has the best 2A in ladies atm imo. I don't think she'll up her technical content, cause I can't see her do a 3Lz-3Lo or a quad and they don't seem to be working on the 3A anymore.
Sure, she will mature and get older and therefore automatically get higher PCs from the judges, but where could you see her actually take a mayor step from where she is right now?

I think Alena will start working on the 3A again now that she seems to have adjusted to her body changes and got her timing back. Probably just doesn’t want to risk it until the off season.

Fingers crossed for Kostornaia's victory. She's so good.

Tarakanova has finally skated a clean SP, I'm happy for her. I hope she fights for that podium. Her FS at the senior nationals was great.

Rusfed dont want to send 3 Eteri girls? Lol do they realize without Eteri Russian figure skating would be in the dumper? Ladies were great in olympic team event it was the other 3 disciplines tht cost Russia team gold.

Sasha will score great in her LP.. if she does she goes to worlds. And she is the defending champion. Unless she bombs her LP I think she goes.

The injury has been speculated by the simple fact that Trusova can not fail the jump that has dominated in all his life, was not wrong in a 4Lz or a combined quad, failed in what he does best, and tomorrow will repeat the jump.

If tomorrow Trusova fails again without making a single quad, his participation in the World Cup will be at risk, and with it will be the biggest failure of his career, because throughout the season he has not won anything at all, she was 2nd in JGPF, 2nd in RUSNAT and would not go to the world championship. The blow would be too strong before his confrontation with Kihira in senior.

Don‘t exaggerate please. Sasha has failed the first time this season on any jump that wasn‘t a quad. That‘s quite an impressive record I‘d say. She will go to Junior Worlds as the defending champion, they won‘t make her miss this after winning two silver medals at JGPF and Senior Nationals. Besides, if she skates remotely clean; she will easily end up on the podium. I‘m hoping for clean skates for everyone but to me there‘s no question who‘ll go to Worlds this year.

I frankly don’t know where all the injury rumours are coming from. She was training quads in practice yesterday! If she did that with an injury, it would be more than insane. She‘s human, had a bad day and that‘s it. But she‘s a fighter and will come back strongly tomorrow.

I am a bit worried about Trusova's health, but on a positive note it's unbelievable how much her spins have improved.

I am worried too but not for these injury rumours but in general. Quads and all... But I don‘t believe she‘s injured right now so I feel like there‘s no need to panic. I just can‘t believe anyone would let a child who’s not even in seniors yet train quads if she‘s injured. That would make no sense and could ruin an entire career. I‘m not a fan of Eteri but for her to do something like that? I think we should all calm down a bit and wait until tomorrow. So far, Sasha has made one mistake. If she bombs her FS tomorrow, yes, let‘s be worried. But I think we should give the poor child a bit of room to breathe and not expect her to be 100% perfect each time. That we‘re rushing with injury rumours now when she‘s had a fall on a triple for the first time (!) this season, seems kind of telling. I‘m always one to worry about health, especially when it comes to quads but I‘d prefer to wait until we have at least a bit of basis for our speculations.

About her spins: Yes, I noticed that too! They are a lot faster and so centered. I actually really enjoy them now (especially the biellmann). Compared to last year, there‘s really a lot of difference. I‘m glad she‘s making an effort on them.
