2018-19 Russian Ladies' figure skating

Skating world: Trusova! Shcherbakova! Russian girls are doing quads!
Lil'Bet : here, hold my beer.

BTW, it was fully rotated after all. Not too shabby for 2 weeks training. Next time she lands. Fo' sho'.

Bravo, Dudakov!

One million dollar question: how would RusFed treat Eteri if her pupil Tursynbaeva will jump her 4S at WorldChamp cleanly and push out Russians from the podium? :rolleye: :drama:

And she landed it in her warm up before her skate according to some people who were there. I hope we get a video of that

Trusova prefers to pop in the warm up. Usually it helps to land it when on score.
Same for Shcherbakova.
Now yet another TUT girl learned the truth hard way.

Yes, only two weeks having in-program training may be nit enough.

is there an actual link to the original interview where alina talked about drinking water at the olympics. unless i've missed a post i haven't been able to find the source of all this drama

LOL, would be interesting for sure, but Tutberidze already has to deal with having 4 of the best female skaters in the world in her charge: Zagitova, Kostornaya, Shcherbakova, Trusova.
How EG manages to keep them all separately at their best is quite the miracle. As a good coach she gives each skater her full undivided attention and best advice, no favouritism here. Kudos to #TeamTutberidze !

Definitely more than three. Last year there was 11 in senior and junior, and some big names like Kostornaia, Panenkova, Gubanova, Tarakanova, Shcherbakova and Trusova competed last year too.
Thanks Queen. Hopefully we will see some of the names you mentioned.

I wouldn‘t be scared about the Russian federation. I would be scared about Sasha finding out Lil‘Bet took away her chance to be the first senior woman to land a quad. ;)

Don't even say such a thing! ;)

Is she Eteris only non Russian student?

How will EG keep the Fab 4 happy in the next year or so? Once Alina won the Olympics Zhenya had one foot out the Sambo 70 door. If one of the 3a surpasses the other 2 next season how will the other 2 and Alina handle it? That is the question. These girls are warm and classy and have little ego but they are very young human beings receiving daily input from parents and managers.

I don't think it's (always) a concern. (often) Some people try to use demagoguery for their personal reasons.

And if they would stop talking about it, immediately there will another storm: "they are forced to hide their eating disorder problems." Not, the way never goes through the swamp of appeasing h*t*rs because they cannot be appeased. My country has a lot of experience with the attempts to appease "unappeasiable" (I hope I write it well :) ).

Probably so flanker.

Nobody from this group of harsh critics here actually cares for the well being of these girls. This is just an excuse for attacks. They would be very pleased to see them fail because it would fit their narrative.

Anyway. It's better to ignore all this posts and comment on what is actually relevant and important for russian ladies, and not on some false information, taken out of context and used for bashing and shaming!

Well spoken. Clear as daylight.

Like always. They didn't have problems when Kvitelashvili pushed Kolyada out of the podium at the Rostelecom Cup, or when Mishin coached Carolina Kostner in the past two seasons.

Plus Kazakhstan and Russia are close friends, they would be thrilled to have a podium with two russians and one kazakh.

I think one or two of them will leave. Hopefully, they will be able to do it at peace and without being dragged in the media, like Evgenia :/

Russian Ladies are competing today:

Liza vs her recovery (and Gulyakova! I really feel Nastya could start landing 3A soon too) in the Dragon Trophy
and
Sima vs Satoko in Germany

Both events are streamed if someone is looking for something to watch :)

I'm very nervous for Liza!
