Wow Wow Wow, Oh my God, according to golden skate article, "Kimmie Meissner " flawlessly finished a couple of triple axels," Wow, that's is fantastic. Last year, she upset Sasha Cohen to win world title in alberta. Look like Kimmie will upset another Sasha Cohen, which is Mao Asada to win the World title again in Japan. Incredible, Wow, flawless triple axel with incredible artistry. Congratulation to Kimmie!!!

we have a rule here that says...no jinxing :p

j/k. I hope so but please don't push the Skate Gods

I

I don't want her to win, but I do want her to medal.

Here's how my ideal podium looks like:

1. Mao Asada

(big gap, Mao is THE greatest)

2. Yu-Na Kim
3. Kimmie Meisner.

Here's the actual podium looks like:

1. Kimmie Meissner

(big gap, Kimmie is THE greatest plus her artistry is beyond Sasha and Michelle)

2. Joanie Rochettz
3. Sarah Meiner.

4. Those asian girls are finished just off the podium as usual
5.
6. and so on....................

You really sound like that notorious Kimmie Meisner stalker - 'Paris Hilton' on www.usfigureskating.org discussion board.

Just checked your post history on this board, I'm pretty sure you are that Paris Hilton.

Damn, so easy to identify you!

whoops...I thought folks in that thread were referring to the real Paris Hilton...

But look at the bright side...we have our first resident Kimmie Meissner Uberfan... :agree:

Hehe, it's so funny. Because when this thread popped out, I immediately thought it's that notorious 'Paris Hilton', since 'their' behavior is so similar. Then I checked her/his post history, and found he/she brought out that famous 'Paris Hilton' in a discussion thread on why usa figure skating board was down.

so predictable. Hopefully, our 'Paris Hilton' will not pop up another '10-days-before-Kimmie Meinnnnser-will-be-crowned' thread every week.

I would be thrilled to pieces if the podium was
1. Carolina Kostner
2. Sarah Meier
3. Elene Gedevanishvili

But somehow I doubt that it happening... oh well I can still dream :agree:

umm, excuse me? kimmie is NOT going to win! I'll eat my hat if she does. she's just not good enough. mao is going to win, everyone knows that. almost.:sheesh:

Wow...I mean, wow, what would have to realistically happen for Elene G. to capture Bronze??

Or better yet, for Mao, Kimmie AND Yu-na ALL to be OTP (off the podium)?

There are strong feelings that Kimmie will not defend her 2006 World Championship. In fact very strong. This is not unlike all other threads leading up to World Championships and, of course, the Olys.

Why can't posters just say who they think will win or who they hope will win. Why is it so important TO GET KIMMIE (or was that Shorty?)

It's quite easy for me to say that YuNa is the best skater, imo, and I hope she will win. I don't have to put down Kimmie in my positive views. Only negative people it seems do that. At least that's what I was taught in Psych 202.

What's wrong with discussing what Kimmie would have to do in order to win? It's not really obvious this year - it's crowded at the top and all the contenders, including the reigning World champ, have weaknesses.

I am so nervous about Yu Na's injury (and the effect on it of competing at Worlds) that I'm not even thinking of her as a contender. So my "hope" list is:

Miki
Mao
Joannie
Elene G

I love all four of them and think that, with a little help from the other skaters, they could medal. (I've seen some encouraging practice reports about Elene G. I believe in that kid. This may not be her year, but it will come.)

I'd be delighted if Yu Na skated like a champ and won - no question she has the goods - and even more delighted if Alyssa could do it. That makes six skaters that are regularly more exciting to me than Kimmie. Still, you never know. It would be dumb to count that girl out!

You mean I don't have to watch to know the outcome? Do you think you could pick a lottery ticket for me?  You must be psychic!!!

Nothing wrong with corrective criticisms. But just being overall negative about a skater doesn't say much about the poster's ability to see the scope of figure skating.

btw. I think you wrote a good post.
