Our favourite thread! Feel free to post every link you find... Maybe we'll organize a bit later on.

Pairs Short:

Shen & Zhao's SP

To start with, Pang & Tong's superb short program, it's brilliant:

Marcoux and Buntin also did well! Their SP:

Siudeks, love the music

Zhang & Zhang

Dube and Davison

BTW, pairs short programs competition was amazing. 21 pairs participated, and there's only 1 fall!! The ice surface was too good to be true. I predict the long program will likely become a splatfest as skaters run out of luck!

A couple of OD we can all argue about the conspiracy theory:

Belbin and Agosto

Denkova and Staviski

Dube and Davison did awesome! It brought tears to my eyes to see them out there after everything they've been through. They were just flying across the ice!

ODs haven't been skated yet... CDs have ;)

seriously though would like to see the other two US skaters if that's available...

Love, love, love Pang&Tong's beauuuuuuuuuuutiful performance! They always made me thrilled. Wish they can outskate the German pair in LP.

Thanks so much for posting these links - I am not going to get much done today, am i?

Thank you very much!!!! (Can't get the eurosport feed-blocked in us maybe?)

Pang and Tong were beautiful-she is like a feather or the lightest ballerina on ice. Just beautiful.

I've been a fan of Tong for quite some time - but just haven't been able to really appreciate Pang - until watching this; what a wonderful program from this PAIR, really lovely.

I am very very proud of them! From my reading of Chinese press, they the the hardes working Chinese pairs, they know they have lots of weakness and never give up. Sometimes, they work 7 hours a day! They are not the favourite even for a medal at this worlds, but they really prove they are not just a fluke.

Their short program is exquisite, but I have to admit the long program is outdated, and does not measure up to the top pair-S/Z and S/S's long programs. I learned they will immediately go to U.S. after this worlds and train with Morosov(? ) and come up with a new long program for next season.

Hopefully Morosov will do magic for them next season!! I have my best wishes for them.

That has got to be one of the most complicated SPs ever - very original choreography. He really compensates for the jump weaknesses. I wish I knew what those Russian guys were saying! They seem awfully excited. Translation, anybody? Go, Jeff!

He looks very strong and purposeful here. Too bad about the step out. I like it better than I have all season. It's starting to get that unstoppable-machine feeling. Go, Johnny!

Takahashi SP:

I'm not getting any sound on this one. Sorry. Makes it hard to judge skate but it looks very good - one touchdown. His sit spins are weak but otherwise a strong performance. Go, Daisuke!

thank you so much everybody. Shen and Zhao were unbeliavble. that program is a masterpeice. So beautiful.

I absolutely agree that Shen & Zhao's short program is absolutely beautiful. I really hope they come back for another olympics, they really didn't get a chance at Torino. Here's hoping Vancover will be magical for them.

It really depends on their conditioning and the competitors at that time. I think the odds are against them. I love them, but won't want them to come back if it's not realistic for them for the gold medals. They have won three worlds gold medals, and have proved time after time they are the best. An OGM is really no big deal.

Look at Pet & T and the polish couple, it's heartbreaking. Sports are very cruel. You can be a glorious star and everybody sings you praise, but when you can no longer compete against the very top, you drop like a rock, and nobody cares about u.

I'm very very happy they can end their career on such a high note. At the same time, I feel really sad for Pet & T, the polish couple and I&B even I don't really care for their skating.

I agree with you. But knowing Shen and Zhao if they aren't in good shape and know they can't win, they won't return. I am just hoping that they will return and will win the gold medal.

If it is farewell, then I will be happy for them because they have accomplished more in their career than most. They were above all else pioneers, along with their coach Bin Yao, for Chinese figure skating and figure skating in general. Through all the tears of disappointment, years of frustration, cries of joy and pain, they left an ever lasting impression in figure skating and more importantly in hearts of many people. I know that figure skating is better for having had them in the sport. In my belief, they are one of the greatest pairs team in history because of who they are, what they did, and how they did it. I truely admire them for everything they have done in their careers and all the struggles they have gone through.
