Interview with Alexei Yagudin

Alexei Interview

Thank you for that informative interview, Kathleen. I've always been impressed by Alexei's intellect, openness and heart. Hard to believe he is shy, but entertainers often are. He is an emotional guy, so not sure how to interpret his remarks about crying. And he seems to be in a good place (mentally, physically and geographically) right now. A great, great champion and an interesting character to say the least. :)

I just wish I'd know he'd be with SOI next year, I would have pre-ordered tickets following the Seattle show..

Thanks for a great and interesting interview :)

Must admit I don´t understand why go all the way to Bali and then stay at the hotel when there is a whole island to "explore".

Thanks for the interview! The years of him and Plushy going head to head were my favourite!. :) Nice to see he has returned home and doing well. :)

As always Kathleen, it's great to hear about Alexei.

Thanks for the interview, that was great!

So, not to be a gossip BUT, I'm wondering what was the tension between Alexi And Morosov?

I think it was more between Tarasova and Morosov, when Morosov decided to go on his own to become a coach, and Alexei was caught in the middle.

Thanks for posting the interview - good read. So, if I understand this correctly - Tatiana and Morosov had a pesonal problem - not skating related - that led to a falling out. Has this already been discussed a million times? I don't know why, but I didn't even remember that Morosov choreographed Winter - I am having serious memory lapses because I love/d Yagudin...

We know a million young ladies are in love with Alexei, but we know little of anything about his love life if there is any.

He had one heluva Oly championship and he continued to skate the best he could after the hip surgery. Cheers for him.

Alexei's been in a permanent state of 'almost married' for years. Or so I thought.

Are you kidding me? *Sigh*

Yup, that was a bizarre question in the 1st place, IMO. But look how he answers it:

I think that quad's value should be higher. The rules now easily allow winning a short program without a quad.

And I don't recall a quad in Daisuke's short.
