That word is often used in sport specifically as chemical substances, it's a common 'slang' word for that in sport.
Yes, chemistry as a word can be used in other meanings, say in acting there's a chemistry between a male and female lead, here however it sure isn't about chemistry between a coach and a student.
I'm not sayin Anastasia should be judged or something, and no one is going to put her on trial, so there's no need to try to excuse her words 'beyond reasonable doubt'.
Nastia doesn't need any excuses to be honest, she needs to start her life and career anew with her new team, apologize if needed, maybe talk to Alina personally and leave it all to rest.
My point was about semantics and that you can't be 100% sure she was talking about doping given the context. Also, there can be chemistry between a coach and a student. I just wanted to point that out and in the end, we should dismiss that gazeta.ru muckracking altogether and not spend another 10 pages discussing meaningless dirt.
