From thin everybody can make quick conclusion what Eteri did for Alina. She came to her as literally unknown girl in 2015, one of the hundreds girls somewhere in the middle or at the bottom of novice competition results. Within four years in Khrustanyi Alina became the most succesful russian lady skater ever.

This could also still serve as an example for the girls of the agre of Kamila, Daria, Maya and co., who are not that succesful, that there is still time, just need the right coach and work hard.

Wanted to answer here...
Agree 100%. Under Eteri's guidance Alina made such an amazing progress, she was way behind her peers at 12 in terms of jumps and didn't have any triples, but her hard work, determination and Eteri's coaching were the perfect combination to help Alina become the first and only russian skater to have all the titles.

As Alina said after worlds: I know it for sure now, the dreams do come true. :luv17: She's absolutely right!

She's such a hard worker and I am glad that Eteri decided to take her all those years ago, when I believe most coaches failed to see Alina's true potential.

Yeah. She seems to have good spins while little, and also musicality, but Eteri made her also jumper. She must saw huge potencial in her because otherwise she would not accept almost 12yo without big part of the jumps. And she would definitelly not give her another chance after their first unsuccesfful try where she expell her for lack of work ethic. Also someone must saw it in home, because otherwise her family would not risk that much to put her into Moscow when they almost can't afford it and she had to go with just her grandma. Someone definitelly had to tell them it's wort it. There must be at last two people who saw it way before the rest of the world.

The more amazing her results are that she broke leg and arm shortly after join Eteri's group. But we can see now again and again how she is able to progress in terms of weeks, so .. miracle girl.

Actually Eteri always takes girls even without 3 jumps too, I believe there was interview of Anya S saying she couldn’t jump all triples when ET took her, and ET said herself she looks for special talent first like spins, musicality, beauty etc and gives everyone “special” a chance, she looks at them working for 2-3 weeks and then decides if they are staying and how to train them.
Alina never said anything about coaches from Izhevsk encouraging her to move to Msk, she always gives credit to people and never says she decided smth if she didn’t. Actually her first (second) coach said all her other successful students went to Saint Petersburg, but Alina. Alina herself spontaneously asked her mother to go see Eteri while in Msk, Alina was a fan of Yulia Lipnitskaya, thats the reason she wanted to be coached by Eteri and by 13yo she knew 2a and 3 (2?)triples are not enough, Izhevsk is a really small town. Alina’s mom wanted Her to be a pro sportsman so i bet she was happy Alina finally started taking skating seriously.

If you're wondering why they showed Shizuka Arakawa FAOI clip in the show, Alina was asked about her, and replied (GT):"I thought Shizuka Arakawa was really amazing. I was impressed with her respect for figure skating and the serious attitude towards the show.”

Yes! That is wonderful news! That dress got universal rave reviews! Its simplicity just lets Alina's natural beauty and expression shine. So happy :)

Thanks for clarification. I didn't know about her mum wanted her a pro and Alina wants herself go to see Eteri first.

I know about Eteri accepting girls without all triples and also about Anya S., but she was I believe younger. Anyway we both said the same thing, she saw in her huge putencial despite lower technical marks. And I 100% get her posture. She can teach girls jumps, if they have good bodies of course, but musicality is born. They can improve, but it's mostly natural and you are only making it better.
