Alexandra Trusova

Olga Yermolina interview from Bratislava with Aleksandra

It was Tatjana Flade (she has a German accent).

Russkaya Raketa entered the target orbit.

A normal skater:
1. Speeding-up
2. Entry
3. Takeoff
4. Rotation
5. Landing
6. Exit

Sasha:
1. Launch preparation sequence
2. Liftoff
3. Boosting
4. Orbit insertion
5. Rotation
6. Aiming at the hosting city
7. Deorbiting
8. Reentry
9. Landing
10. Exit

Sasha really is incredible! She's setting the bar extremely high, I guess her results are really going to push the other girls.
I was waiting to see the program in competition, with a costume and everything, but now I can say I don't like it. Not because it doesn't portray Daenerys well (I don't care too much about that), but simply because it feels like she's going from element to element, without a real connection to the music. This is understandable in the first part, when she has to do the quads, but in the rest... I think she could do so much better with a program that enlightens her strengths more.
Obviously, if she lands those quads consistently she's going to win anyway, but I think she proved in the past that she can be more artistic than that.

Give it time. The more Aleksandra performs this routine, the better it gets while she settles in it, and both #TeamTutberidzeForProgress and Aleksandra herself will put some finishing touches here and there.

Quads take a lot out of her, so perhaps a small recuperation phase in the middle of her long program is needed before she can light up again in the step sequences etc. later.

It's probably difficult to stage a program for Aleksandra that doesn't make her look like a 'Tarzanka' and a nice dress certainly helps.

Still, after reading about Anna's and thinking about Aleksandra's routines and remembering some voices of noted officials, I've come to the conclusion that both are still 'children' and therefor allowed to show 'junior' images. From the original 3A, Khrustalniy's Amazing Aces, only Alyona Kostornaya is the one that has always possessed 'mature' 'adult' skating.

I for one will enjoy both Aleksandra and Anna in their glorious routines this season, their Wonder Years, and come next season will see what #TeamTutberidzeForProgress has thought up for new images.

Fan Cams in great quality (turn the subtitles on for GOE etc.):

The red dress is gorgeous!

EDIT: They could also be edited versions of the official stream. But anyway, they look a LOT better than what we originally got from the stream.

It seems like there was some post processing applied to these clips. Would be nice to have some different HQ fan cams from closer to the ice, but perhaps there weren't any in the audience in Slovakia.

Close up, the dress is really nice, and not overly decorated. Who is Aleksandra's seamstress?

Does anyone have links to HQ pictures of Sasha from this event? I want to see what her dresses looked like - the stream was not helpful at all.

Hi everyone, this is my first post. I've been reading for a while though. But Sasha's performance was so mind-blowing that I finally had to say something. Congrats to Sasha for the World Records and I wish her many more victories!

Welcome :-) And post often, new voices, new opinions, new views, new visions are always welcome.

Next for Aleksandra is Japan Open, a not too serious but fun competition where she (and the rest of the competitors) will bask in the love and adoration of the Japanese audience. She doesn't seem to be the kimono type of girl, not being able to stand still for like 5 minutes, are there tomboy style kimono's? ;-) Or better some samurai dresses (if there ever were female samurai). Anyway, she and the rest will have lots of fun there and will need a lot of extra luggage allowance on the airline to bring all their gifts home.

Then she is off to Skate Canada. Ted Barton is eagerly waiting for her arrival, planning to do some features on this skater with already almost too many distinctions to mention ;-)
Looking forward to those features, and a good competition of course.

She's actually looking quite lovely in a kimono! https://www.instagram.com/p/BzU9yEYoHQe/

Gorshkov amazed at the record score the figure skater Trusova achieved in the tournament in Slovakia

Russian woman broke world records in the free program and in the tota t of points

MOSCOW, September 21. / TASS /. Russian figure skater Aleksandra Trusova posted an incredible result, setting two world records at the pre-season Ondrei Nepela Trophy tournament in Slovakia. This opinion was expressed by the President of the Russian Figure Skating Federation (FFKKR) Alexander Gorshkov.

On Saturday, the skaters presented their free programs as part of the tournament. 15-year-old Trusova, for whom this start was her debut at international level, scored 163.78 points for her free program and 238.69 for the sum of her two appearances, thus setting two world records. Previous records in the free program (158.50) and in total (238.43) belonged to the Olympic champion and world champion Alina Zagitova.

“Well done, we were very worried about her, we were worried because this is her debut at senior level,” Gorshkov said.
"Incredibly, I have never even seen such scores, she is a fighter. I congratulate her, Eteri Georgiyevna [Tutberidze], Sergey Dudakov and, of course, Daniil [Gleikhengauz] with all my heart."

Trusova can still improve her results, Gorshkov said. “I know that she learns a triple Axel,” he added. “The fact is that you can’t do quadruple jumps in a short program, but you can do an Axel. I have seen her myself, stubbornly learning this jump.”

Trusova is a two-time World Champion among juniors, in addition to her, this was only achieved before by another Russian woman, Yelena Radionova (2013 and 2014). In addition, Trusova has two victories at the Russian Championship among juniors, won four stages of the junior Grand Prix, as well as the gold of the series finale. In the first season of her international career (2017/18), the skater did not lose a single tournament, and in the second she lost only in two - the final of the Junior Grand Prix (second place, after Alyona Kostornaya) and the senior championship of Russia (second place, after Anna Shcherbakova)

The figure skater is training in the group of Tutberidze, whose pupils are Zagitova, Shcherbakova, Kostornaya, previously also two-time World and European champion Yevgeniya Medvyedeva, who is now training in Canada under tutelage of Brian Orser.
