Switching to the 3F/3T for Mariah was a smart move on Raf's part. Reminds me of Ashley's go to combo. I hope this is the season where it comes together for Mariah - she's always had great potential to be the whole package in terms of artistry and technical content. A gold medal will go a long way to help her with her confidence this season. Hope to see her at Worlds!

I posted this in the Nebelhorn thread but just wanted to say again how happy I am that Mariah won the competition and skated so well. Now I hope she can build on that. Also loved both her SP and free skate dresses. Beautiful.

Weekly Round-Up:
- Mariah Bell wins her first individual gold as a senior after two stupendous programs at Nebelhorn Trophy.

- Sarah Jung (10) and Gabriella Izzo (8) both managed top ten outings at the Junior Grand Prix in Croatia.

Schedule:
- This upcoming week, Kate Wang and Isabelle Inthisonewill represent the USA at the Junior Grand Prix in Italy (Oct. 2-5), marking the end of this season's Junior Grand Prix. A stream will be available on the YouTube channel.

- On October 5th, Bradie Tennell and Mirai Nagasu will compete at Japan Open. This will mark Tennell's return from injury and debut of the season. This event is shown on television, but use this website for fan streams --> https://soyouwanttowatchfs.com/calendar

- Regionals begin this week for many skaters, including Gracie Gold. Look out on social media for Gold's participation, or lack thereof, at the IceWorks regional competition.

- Next week, Starr Andrews, Ting Cui, and Megan Wessenberg will compete at Finlandia Trophy (Oct. 11-13). Stream will be available either on Dailymotion or YouTube.

Very impressed with bells new layout aka BV in the fs (2x3lz; 2x3f) and she could still add a 2l somewhere. And who knows she might even work on an 3a for olympics as the cherry on the pie[emoji6] (her 2a has potential). Clever move to replace the 3lz3t(99% ur) to rather clean 3f3t.

If I’m not mistaken, Gabriella Izzo went back to her long program from last season. But she seemed rattled or something during it. She’s really a lovely skater but the inconsistency is gonna get her. A skater of her caliber should’ve been at least top 4 or 5.

We will probably not know until the most the Senior ladies starting order. I think Senior ladies skate Friday and Saturday.

I'm wishing her the very best in her debut. I must admit that I'm a bit nervous since we haven't seen her skate an actual program. I'm excited to see her.

Holy Cow!!! She looks amazing. I'm so proud of her and hope she enjoys her return regardless of placements. That's a great combo.

Sarah looks like she needs a little more experience. THis is her first time out at an international. But I think she skated pretty well and handled the nerves and pressure well, plus she made the final group in the short program which is hard and amazing. KAte wang, Lindsay Thorngren, Calista Choi,Isabelle instonie, etc have been to international competitions before their jgp, so they had a little experience, but they kinda put Sarah as an underdog. I believe she never got small junior b. Now the USFS should see that Sarah Jung can be a top US skater, plus her components were higher than all the US girls that so far competed, which shows how much she improved in a year

Agree, I love Gracie's Euler

I think we will be all cheering on Gracie. So proud of her to put herself back out there. I assume this is an easy competition for her and that she will move on no problem. Hope it builds her confidence. Her jumps look good - yes, we have to be honest they don't have the power, spring or lightness as before. There is a heavier look/feel but there seems to be more control. When you see all these triples you can't help but think and hope Gracie is back and there is going to be trouble. Look out world. The queen has returned to claim er crown!

She's making the triples look so easy now. It seems like these are her two strongest triples, as she trains quads of both. It wouldn't surprise me if these two are what she goes with in the SP for her 3-2 (or 3-3) and solo triple.

If that happens, hopefully she can channel the positive energy from all the support she'll get. Everyone loves a comeback story, and in her training she has progressed farther than most of us imagined she could.
