too bad about lilbet. She got injured but she's tiny compared to Alina. I don't know if she got injured because she was practicing a quad or just because the sport quite honestly is so brutal on the body only that they weigh 80 pounds or Nastya
Alina has the benefit of winning everything important in her career as a junior and senior so she can pick and choose what events she wants to do what exhibition she wants to do and what moves she wants to learn.
I can't imagine Stasya or any of the Nastyas learning quad. They're just too big for it even as small as they are. It's apparently true you need to learn them by 15 or 16 years old or It's Gone with the Wind.
I kind of feel like she may be going through puberty - makes sense considering her age. Since her jumps were small to start with, i'm sort of worried and don't want to talk about it to not build up expectations.
Together, host Emma Gadzhiyeva and guest Anna Pogorilaya, summed up the results of the third stage of the Grand Prix, discussed the breakthrough of Aleksander Samarin and Russian pair skaters, and also answered the question of for who it is harder to be under constant pressure - Alina Zagitova or Yevgeniya Medvyedeva.
I know she was/is but I thought there would be some information by now... Wasn‘t she supposed to compete at a Russian Cup event to qualify for Junior Nationals? Of course if she‘s injured she should heal first!! Health is more important than anything. But I‘m still worried...
True Alina already won every title this is why she’s more relax now and unlike last year she’s not the only senior to rely on. Last year was a tough saison, Alina was so tense and everybody was expecting she would win the gold at each competition. She was the only Eteri’s russian senior, I can’t imagine the pressure on her shoulders. The other seniors Liza and Zhenia were not in their top form and Sofia’s programs were not competitive to face the japanese.
Thanks.Volvo Open in Riga for instance ....
Five day event, all ranks, ages and disciplines.
Noteworthy competitors:
Julia Lang
Yekaterina Ryabova
Viktoriya Safonova
Kseniya Sinitsyna
Anastasiya Shabotova
she's too good to just be tossed aside like that.Well it's certainly good for Ukraine![]()
That's a good saying and it comes from a legend. I hope Katiring spends more time in here and learns to converse with people."Be the change you wish to see in the world!" - Gandhi
Does anyone have any news on some of the 'oldies'? Like Radionova and Pogorilaya?
Also not sure if I posted this here already but Alina got invited to art on ice 2020(their anniversary show) so I'm very happy for her![]()

Aliona's stalker (from Finland) tried to disrupt IDF with fake bomb threats????? :eeking: :furious:![]()
Didn't she leave practice in tears during run throughs? I wonder if these threats contributed to that. I can't imagine fearing for your life in addition to the normal pressure from your first senior grand prix. And to have performed so spectacularly in the face of this adversity. She is truly incredible.

Life news is a tabloid, not a reliable news source.
But the next day my daughter was able to take a picture with Alena, she was smiling and no one to protect her. It was only when people knew she was there that they sent bodyguards because there was a lot of people around her.
