Alina Zagitova

Yass!! This is the content I was hoping for haha

I kept waiting during the victory ceremony for them to interact with each other

I hope to see more at the Gala!

So happy she made it to the GPF again! That is three seasons in a row. I think she is the only member of the 2018 Russian Olympic team to make it. No one that is still skating qualified. Wow. There is something to be said for that. I'm just happy that we will get one more opportunity to see her three beautiful programs this season.

:ghug:

Yaaayyy! We finally made it to 1000 pages!!!
:yay::party::ghug:

We couldn't have done it without you! :thank: It was your post that got us there!

Thanks to everyone who posted on this thread to help us all get through the 'NHK crisis of faith 2019'! :laugh2:

Well Dima Aliev qualified as well. :) But it is certainly impressive that Alina is still holding up and fighting. She's the only one from the Pyeongchang ladies to make GPF. And also fun fact. her and Rika are the only returnees from 2018-19. So well done!

Yes! These are programs you can never grow tired of watching

As for the second half of the season, who knows? but I have a feeling things will work out for Alina :)

Aww, thanks! :luv17:

Agreed! No matter what happens, it's great to come here and read so many lovely and positive posts :)

:laugh2: Double sheepskin is a new element in figure skating, a well executed double shipskin is worth more than a 4A!

Rick, he just sneaked into ladies competition! :roll5: I don't know how Rick did it, but he's been doing it for some time, oh mischievous Rick!

This is how the training for a double sheepskin looks like:

And thank you all for 1000 pages.:thank:

From Igor Prudnikov, 1TV sports journalist:

@azagitova - This is when a 27-year-old boy envies the character and endurance of a 17-year-old girl When 'just go and do it' (c) works at the right time. And for those who, after an error in SP, began to gloat (and the things they wrote!), I advise you to open Wikipedia and remember that Alina won all the tournaments on this planet That's it! Our baby wrapped up in layers. Coming home soon)

- I want to learn pottery. It's a common fashion now to have a fashion line of yourself but I'm not interested. But I like pottery.

Would you buy? I do.

Massaging her 'hamster cheeks' with cosmetic oils calms her, she says. So getting your hands dirty with clay and porcelain is even more calming, soothing even. Plus you can create things, learn to shape your thoughts into pieces of craft, even art.
Introvert persons like Alina likes to create art to let their emotions out, and she wants to be a little more unique, since 'everybody is doing clothing these days'.

Having a creative outlet will certainly benefit Alina or any other sports person in their highly demanding and stressful daily existence. And when you feel angry, you can really stomp that chunk of red clay on your worktable, a sure way to release that anger ;-)

A small critique, but her Instagram presence is becoming a bit too packaged and it's getting to be a bit weird with how rarely she posts a picture with anyone else. I think she posted it to her stories, but the photo with Rita Mamun at the awards show was a small missed opportunity. IMO, she could use more spontaneous(not pre-planned) photos/moments which is what people want to see more rather than "performative" celebrity-ism which may not be sustainable. Keeping herself relevant in the future will depend a bit on doing a good job sharing the social media spotlight with others.

It's not a good idea to post every fan selfie to the Instagram, but the nice thing about many off the cuff fan selfies is that they are spontaneous as are the emotions shown in them(not always though). A photo like this with someone working for Russian TV and she's looking happy and cute would be good to repost to her stories: https://www.instagram.com/p/B5PVggXIJOm/

Alina:

“I don’t think about creating my own clothing line, because everyone is doing it now. I am interested in pottery. I have never done this, but I want to try. It is very calming and you can create exclusive things.”⠀

She also said that she designed her new room in the Japanese style. There will be sakura on the wall but it is not finished yet. A special shelf for medals is decorated with figurines that Japanese fans gave her.

This guy is great. He's a true fan. I love his support for our girl. Here's a flashback to his photo with her after 2019 World's. -

Selflessly in love with this girl’s titanic work In the post-Olympic season, many skaters lose sight of and complete their careers. And @azagitova is the world champion. Because it works. Because dozens of hours a week spends on ice. Strong, cute, gorgeous!
