He did well, almost broke the WR and is in 1st for those worried :thumbsup:

And his spins were amazing?? As was his 4Lz
 
His combos were really wonky and off axis in the warm up so I was concerned. :laugh: He missed one combo and double it the 2nd time

But he did really well. Praying for a clean FS.
 
Yeah, don't know what was wrong with the axis on his jumps. Could be just a little jet lag. He gradually improved his jumps at Worlds as the week progressed so he may be better on Sat. From Brezina's IGS Team Raf was watching at the rink.

So happy for Nathan. What an amazing skate. He has come so far artisticaly. And the 4Lz was a beauty.

But... he needs a fashion intervention. I can't with his costumes.. I just can't XD.
Please someone rescue him from Vera or make him watch Project Runway etc.

Agreed. I hope he didn't pay her a lot for that top - it looked off the rack. Nathan is such an amazing skater but his packaging is not great.

Vera used to make such gorgeous costumes for MK, but has been hit or miss with the men. She tried with Evan but he always wore black. Nathan's costumes are often ill-fitting and look cheap. The best one she did for him was the black and white during the Olympic season-was simple but at least it fit.

Haha, yeah I just saw that too :P.
The turtleneck style certainly reminded me of Vera's designs, but the overall loose cut was so reminiscent of his temporary costumes from this and last season, so I was torn between Vera and mom.

So, I guess Vera finally caved and gave him a loose fitting top haha. I love loose tops, they look so comfortable and cosy, but he has the perfect physique and proportions for tight fitting clothes too, so it's also a shame. :laugh:

ETA: I strongly disagree re his Vera costumes. Most of them looked very chic and stylish, and they fit him really well.
 
Great job Nathan! I loved everything about that sp except the outfit. It looked more like something for Rocketman not La Boheme. Why? He needs better costumes to complete and accentuate the programs. I'm really worried about what he will wear now for the fs!

Anyway, just so pleased with his skating today I can't get too hung up on the outfit!

Nate would probably skate in Nike T-shirt’s and sweats if you let him. To him, as long as it feels good and fits comfy he’s ok.
