Daenerys (Aleksandra) Trusova and her “Song of Ice and Fire”

The fact is that someone always starts to progress, leads a crowd. As Maxim Gorky wrote in his song “Song of the Falcon”: “ We sing glory to the madness of the brave. The madness of the brave is the wisdom of life! ” And real courage is needed in order to do something that no one has ever done before you. Aleksandra was a pioneer at least 3 times - it was she who became the first figure skater in history to perform a quadruple Lutz, Toeloop and Flip at competitions under the auspices of the International Skating Union.
Aleksandra is a real athlete by nature. This can be seen with the naked eye. By the way coaches speak about her character in the same vein. For example, Daniil Gleikhengauz called Trusova a brave athlete. It should be noted that some people have repeatedly pointed out that all the skater's programs are just different combinations of run + jump. Personally, in my opinion, recently Sasha has added a lot to the interpretation of the program, they began to look much more interesting, work on connecting elements is noticeable.
Of course, Sasha’s character is not like that of a fragile and tender princess. Although, I don’t know why, I have Sasha associated with Pocahontas. And who said that a princess cannot be strong and courageous? The season is not over yet, but I’m very interested to know what images Sasha will embody on the ice in the future? I really want them to emphasize her uniqueness, helping her to open even better during the performance.
Now I want to remember about the cosmic skating run of Sasha in Japan in October 2019 at the Japan Open tournament. Four quadruple jumps in her free program - in the viewer's eye, is simply an incredible complexity. What can I say, not only the fans, but also the professionals were amazed at their very heart. Two-time world champion Nathan Chen uploaded part of Trusova’s skating run on his Instagram stories with the comment “mindblowing”. In fact, you can’t pick up other words.
Unfortunately, some other starts of the first senior season were not so successful for the skater (if, of course, we consider the Bronze medals of GPF, the Russian Championships and the European Championship as failures, a controversial criterion, in my opinion). The fact is that not all quads declared at these competitions successfully submitted to Sasha. Some fans have already begun to express the opinion that Trusova opened Pandora's box with her own hands, and now she does not know what to do with the consequences.

It recalled me that dress (BTW originally it was Diana¨s dress) but I don't think it's the same. The cut on the back is much deeper and the front is also not the same, just similar.

Thank you for sharing the links! That was a fun programme to watch - a softer piece of music, which is not obviously character-driven, and so very different from what we have seen of Alexandra in the last couple of seasons. She is really expanding her range. Also, that dress looks lovely on her: blue suits her very much.

World Junior Champion Aleksandra Trusova became the heroine of the March issue of Esquire magazine, debuting in the 12 Apostles column.
The 15-year-old athlete is the youngest “apostle” in the history of the magazine, who selects for this role “the most charismatic, vivid and, in a sense, insane representatives of our generation pushing the boundaries of everyday life ”.

While I am glad that Worlds has been cancelled, on the one hand, because safety and health come before medals, I am also disappointed that it won't be taking place, and mostly, I think, for Sasha - she tends to peak later in the season, and it would have been so nice for her to have one final shot at a major gold medal in her senior debut. On the other hand, this gives her more time both for relaxation after an exciting and hectic season, and also for stabilising her triple axel. May she have a productive off-season, and come back from it refreshed and in fighting form, ready to land all her ridiculously difficult jumps!

I agree; that was her title to take. The entire season she was preparing to land these 4 or 5 quads at worlds. But health are safety are the most important thing right now. Hope she stays strong and determined for next season!
Yes, I am sure we'll see her high-quality triple axel and quads in the new season. I really want to see our quad-queen picking up several golds along the way.
