2019-20 Russian Ladies' Figure Skating

They (TeamTut) will survive, don't worry :)

Exactly, nobody is irreplaceable. Athletes will still come to assessments, athletes will leave for various reasons.

One staff member leaving will open a position for another ambitious candidate to start realising him- or herself. Progress never stops.

So far we got confirmed Zhilinas, Sasha, Rozanov and unconfirmed Usacheva, Samsonov and Dudakov. What's next, Eteri herself?

This not answering calls from the person you spent most of your last several years is getting old. And ugly. :disapp:

Can you imagine Alina or Anna doing that? Just saying...

People will do cold-hearted things when they feel they weren’t treated with dignity and respect...

What knowledge do you have of their personal relations? Oh, none? Kindly, I don't think that is something you have the knowledge to comment on.

They may all have a different relationship with coaches and feel less obligated to speak directly. Alina and her coach/choreographer are very close. According to articles Anna and choreographer are very close. I don’t believe I’ve ever read that Sasha has a close relationship with either- just the normal coach/skater relationship.

She is 15 going onto 16 , at this age you aren't always going to listen to your parents about soemthing like this , at least I would not have , and if I had wanted to call so eine than I would have , even In secret

Well, we don’t know that about Sasha, do we?

I must say, on the surface, Plushy seems like the absolute worst choice. With more context about her old coach being there and whatnot, I can start to make sense of it. Regardless, best of wishes to Sasha. I hope this works out for her.

She’s very close with Dudakov.

Isn't he the coach who pushed her to try and learn quads?

I have a feeling Eteri will replace Sasha by trying to bring Kseniia Sinitsyna to Sambo 70. There were rumors throughout the season that Eteri wanted Sinitsyna to skate with them and now there’s an opening. Sinitsyna will be old enough to compete senior next year.

Nobody can judge the depth of the relation by instagram posts, although people more and more often bevave the way "what is/is not on social network, is/is not in the world".

Although I've already seen Daniil being attacked for "being closer to Anna than Sasha, you can see it in K&C" :whack::biggrin:

No but we also can't say it was only he parents and she just gave in . Because you also do not know this . So I would say we try not to think so much about those phone calls Becaus thats not something that needs to be started now . Because again we do not know what exactly happened at all between Sasha and her parents and the team

Well, that’s exactly what I said, didn’t I? That we don’t know for sure whether it was Sasha’s decision, we don’t know anything about it.
Saying that she didn’t speak with her team because she didn’t want to with certainty seems inappropriate to me, because there’s no guarantee one or the other is a rock solid thing.

Come on, you can always pick up the phone, giving due respect with short "hello", apologize for not wanting to be involved and pass the phone to your parent. It's completely different approach and impression left than ignoring calls from the person, who dedicated their past years to you and your career.
Don't make children out of those girls. They're tough 16yo professional athletes certainly able to handle that much.

Trusova is the victim of her own (over)hype. Camp Tutberidze should've never hyped her up to this degree in the first place.

I agree, they overhyped her when she was a junior and then packaged her poorly and didn’t hype her up for the seniors. And I think that she wants to get more attention and focus from a coach that wants to see her do really well in competition. She doesn’t want to just be used as a part of one coach’s “sweep” of the podium: she wants to be on top of the podium! It’s a bold move, but it’s understandable given the circumstances surrounding the change.
