Based on press conference, I feel like both girls took this too serious (especially Alina) lol. Like come on Alin, it wasnt real competition and Zhenias team was awsome too:cheer2:, after all, you all are same team, color of your jackets dont change anything on that. Before you all go :bed: please reconcile and befriend again for sake of you and all those little boys and girls who dreaming their dream about big figure skating world and need proper idols to follow.

I don't think so. To any of this. Other than Zhenya's team being awesome. They absolutely were!

If people need proper idols to follow let them find those idols in people who have the courage to stand up for themselves and their teams.

This says it better than I can.

Translation:

3 years ago, a 15-year-old girl in red could not normally rejoice at her victory in the oi (Olympics), and endured "both gold", "do not call her och (Olympic Champion)", and now - calmly, royally intercedes and defends a whole team of people who worked for their common victory

(the emphasis is mine)

Alina's not 15 anymore. As meaningless as this competition may have been, the skaters skated their hearts out.

Based on their reaction in K&C and ice, I feel like Zhenya took it too serious. Come on Zhenya, everyone knew it’s just a game, not serious competition. Don’t complain about the draw, admit RED MACHINE win this game. After all, you are all in the same team. Before you all retire, please be ‘friends’ again:coffee:
I feel happy for Alina, she enjoyed the whole show, trying to be a cheerful captain and defend for her teammates’ victory. They’re athletes, whenever they stand on the ice, they want to be the winner. So, it’s important to admit your rival’s achievements even though it’s not a serious competition.
Alina didn’t cry or showing off too much in K&C. What really warm my heart is, after the team win the game, she was so shy and hug her teammates first. Apparently, she knew the whole team make it happen not herself. She didn’t want to show off herself at all. She tried to unite every athlete but did not want to be the CENTER of universe.
If you ask what role she played in this game. I’d like to say ‘mascot’ Because she’s so cheerful and cute. She’s also protective because mascot loves her family;)

Not everybody has to be friends. Sometimes it's better not to try and force things to work out. I think they will both be just fine living separate lives, personally and professionally. Now if the media will just stop pitting them against each other that would be great.

I hope that in the future Alina will put her foot down when it comes to any further situations that have the potential to create more negativity. I think she will. She's not powerless anymore. Even RusFed's hold on her is tenuous at best.

This tournament shall go down in Zagistan history as the time when Alina was 100% done with people's crap. Starting with Yagudin and ending with Ermolina. The red ballerina has become the Red Queen.

Come on Deripashka, Alina knew that the other team was awesome too, and she went to their side to do the high-5s. She knew that this was a friendly and fun game, that's why she didn't complain about everything in the conference, until she needed to politely point out that there was a winner anyway. It was still a competition, right? When my friends and I played games, we also always had a winner.

Thanks Finley for sharing this wonderful video:devil:
To be honest, I burst out crying when I saw she left without hesitation. Alina said what she want to say and did what she want to do.
The press conference really sucks. I think 1tv and media were excited to see such dramatic moment, but for these two girls, this is not a good sign (to be exactly, not good for the other girl). This competition was supposed to be entertaining and relaxing. I think Alina did a great job because she really enjoyed it and brought positive mood to her team. I don't think she cares too much about the honor and trophy, she gave a lesson to the other girl on press conference. As an athlete, you should respect your rivals and competition results. What really made me cry is that, she should do that right after Olympics, but she never spoke for herself. She really suffered a lot but never blamed others. She understood everything but chose silence back in 2018. Now she finally grows up, becomes confident and powerful, she's not afraid of authorities and media anymore.
If anyone called her evil person based on press conference , I think they begin to accept a fact that Alina is strong, aggressive and persuasive. She is a successful powerful young woman, her domination makes these people feel threatened
