Alexandra Trusova

Actually what makes you think she is going to go for 3A in SP? I mean, I cannot read the article because 1. I am not a logged in user and 2. I could only use an online translation anyway. Did anyone of them say anything like that? For what I made from the video, Sasha was mainly giggling that no, no, no, she is not interested in any medals, just a clean skate, and no, no, no, she never says in advance what she will show in her programmes. Or am I missing something? Or is it this giggling that is giving her away? Please, rest assured, I am not trying to argue, I am just genuinely curious, :)

I saw no mention of a 3A in the reportage. Alexandra said she never talks about what she is planning to do/accomplish in a competition in advance. She said that her main goal is to skate clean.

Note: This from the Swedish subtitles. I don't understand Russian.

You cannot read the text without logging?

From the description of the reporter, Trusova's mother and other moms were cheering for her successful landing of the 3A in practice. According to her mother, the 3A was finally conquered by Trusova, despite its difficulty. Her mother also told the reporter that a quad was forbidden in the SP, so that the 3A was needed there for her to get high points.

Some words from Plushenko: Trusova's goal at the Worlds was to compete against only herself, and she should go all out to do exactly what she could. He also touched on his different style of coaching: Never scold and never insult.

Trusova's daily practice was composed of 3-hour on ice & 2-hour off ice training (including strength, endurance and coordination training). She said that she loved Plushenko's way of training. When asked if she was never afraid of falling and getting hurt as she attempted all those highly difficult jumps, she replied that she was quite timid outside the ice, but on ice, if you made your technique correct, there would be no risk. She planned to skate until she turned 22. After her 2nd Olympics, she wanted to start her own family. :giggle:

Plushenko did not reveal the exact number of the quads Trusova was going to show in the FS at the Worlds, and he only chose the word "many" in reply with a boyish grin.

Thank you so much, I see! As for your question, no, I could only see the first couple of lines in Swedish and as I tried to expand the view it would ask me to log in. As I understand, I got a royal treatment ;) or got fooled by the system, maybe I could have just skipped this request...
Anyway, from what you say it seems she is training 3A with some success and probably they will decide whether to include it in the SP or not depending on the success rate (or they have decided already). Wow!
As for the Novogorsk camp, I think it takes the secrecy of preparations away from the inter-Russian rivalry. They probably can see each other's practice or at least hear what happened there. Views may probably vary whether it is better or worse like that, still it is not negotiable and they will all travel to Stockholm together anyway ... oh, today, right? It's getting closer, it really is!

No 3A planned in the SP, that's a great relief, and 3 quads (4Lz, 4T+3T & 4T) for the LP. Good luck, Trusova!
This is irrelevant content taken from a random application from the start of this season. What will actually happen is still unknown. 3A in SP is possible. Instead of 3, quads may be four, or two. I think there will be uncertainty with the content until the very release of the ice. Anyway, good luck to Sasha.
Add: There were reports that Sasha made an excellent 3A in today's training session. God save our quads queen .

After the technical content of both programs came out, what I read most was that this was not at all like Trusova...

I know she is a very unique girl for this sport, and she simply loves challenging herself on/off ice, but I am still too worried to accept such choice. I definitely want her to win... 😟 Alas, it is just too hard for me! :palmf:

I'm a bit worried, in one of today's quad attempts where she falls, she holds her injured leg. It is not a good sign.
I think everything will depend on her short program.
A 3A clean in SP, 4 quads in FS.
If she falls on her triple Axel in the SP she will go for 5 quads in the FS.

Anyway, good luck to the Quad Queen (y) :hap10:
