- Have you started to follow figure skating more closely after participating in the Ice Age show?
- Yes, I do follow it, I sincerely love figure skating. Having experience in ice skating and realizing how difficult it is technically, I discovered this sport from another side. I am especially impressed by the Tutberidze team. Magical girls, fairies. They work wonders and make millions of people fall in love with figure skating.
I want to congratulate Eteri that another one of her pupils has become a world champion. In general, our team showed an outstanding result in Stockholm. Best in years. I can only say "bravo" and hope that in Beijing the pedestal in women's single skating will again be composed exclusively of Russian athletes. Good chances for a full podium in pair skating.
- What do you associate such crazy popularity of figure skating in Russia with?
- I think that a new surge in popularity happened thanks to Eteri Tutberidze. She is an ingenious trainer. After Alina Zagitova's victory at the Olympics, many people, including me, fell in love with figure skating.
I am glad that Alina has followers, a new generation of potential Olympic champions is growing. I am looking forward to the performance of our skaters in Beijing. And most importantly, I would watch it live."

Watching the shows I somehow get the impression that Alina has outgrown them...I think she doesn't want to be center because she is not an active athlete anymore and doesn't want to serve as Eteri's show pony.
I would be really surprised if she took part in these shows next year. Eteri will likely have a new reigning OGM and Alina will probably feel that she has paid her dues (I think she repaid Eteri a looooong time ago for taking her back but Alina is just a better person than me...)

Well, I just got back from the show and got to the computer. Great impressions! The most striking thing is Alina, in fact, the whole trip was for her sake. They greeted her very warmly: not only cheers from the stands, but, as always, burning hearts, red plates from Timzagitov. It was very touching when, before Cleopatra began, some child shouted: "Hello, Alina!" -very vociferous, loudly shouted, and the whole audience laughed, somehow it became warm about it. Cleopatra Of course, fire. Today everything was successful: jumps, spins, and the track - everything was with drive and mood. I was surprised (as in the TV picture it was imperceptible to me) how Cleopatra's dress "plays". It just snakes, shimmers, moves like mercury. And Alina herself, with feline grace, rolls this program, involuntarily an association as with a silver snake,
The second program is already completely different, not only in mood, but also in some kind of my inner perception. Of course, this is obvious, because philosophical reflections and all that, but I have a feeling that there is some kind of sadness in the program. Maybe this is because of a blot on the jump (although she did not spoil the rental, IMHO), or maybe because of the mood of Alina herself. Well, that's how I felt it. And she also talked a lot with the fans. This is such a person, very grateful, who, driving in the circle of honor, drove up to the sides, stopped, signed the photo. That is, the "dialogue" in the program continued with a very real dialogue.
When all the skaters were lining up at the end of the show, I noticed that she was constantly jumping up and down, stretching. At the end, everyone showed their favorite elements: some jumped, some inobauer, Alina and Diana their cantilever. But when everyone was almost done. Alina went out, returned to the place where the jump did not work out and jumped it cleanly. The audience, of course, applauded.
Alina went out for photographing with Gleich. When they began to line up, next to the EG were Diana with the young and Kami on the other side. Alina drove up to the St. Petersburg skaters without offense and got up with them, despite the fact that she was called to the EG. In general, she was focused on photographing, as if she was pondering over something. But as for me, it was an inner composure before the jump that she decided to make instead of the one she didn’t get. Well, these are my impressions. Sorry, that's a little messy. Emotions just boil.

Alina made all fans happy with a beautiful performance, signed autographs to everyone. And Alina smiled at me sincerely, thanking me for the gift. So I'm jubilant. She, as always, illuminated and gave Peter a real holiday. Thank you #Алинамойсвет

Yulek made her dream come true! I made my way through the crowd, climbed over the fences and over the chairs, having skirted half of the rink, reached the place where everyone surrounded Alina. I took an autograph and handed the phone over to Alina, with a request to take a selfie !!!! Nobody believed, and even I didn't! Take Yulka and make your dream come true !!!

Thanks to all teamtutberidze skaters for the storm of lively emotions tonight.
And even I managed to take a picture in the corridor with Gleb Smolkin, Diana Davis's partner in our junior
ice dancing team . The guys skated a wonderful number today.
