I did find that one kiss and cry moment when Shoma was coachless and had a terrible skate to Dancing On My Own was quite cringey...I am just happy that he seems to be in better spirits nowadays and kicking butt.

Didn't Todd Sand propose to Jenny Meno before they took the ice at the Olympics or Worlds? Don't remember exactly the conpetition (obviously.)

John Baldwin proposed to Rena Inoue on the ice, didn't he? Wasn't it during a competition (not sure if it was @ US Nationals or a GP event)?

In show skating - Kurt Browning proposed to Sonia Rodriguez in front of an SOI audience in Canada. For that matter, didn't Scott Hamilton propose to Tracie in a similar way?

Also in show skating. We attended "Fashion on Ice" in Trenton, NJ in December 2006. Ice dancer Taylor Fitzgerald proposed to Naomi Lang after one of her performances (we saw them together in on of the Family Skating Tribute shows, but now she is married to someone else).

John proposed fo Rena on the ice at Nationals. I posted an article up thread

I remember the Shen / Zhao moment, but I am shocked to realise that it was as long ago as 2007 Worlds. That'll be 15 years ago in a few months time! Yet it only seems like a few years ago!

Two instances: "stationary lift BASE?" (H/D, 2019 4CC FD) and after a SB free dance, an unfazed and unimpressed Stepanova vs bubbly and overjoyed Bukin (can't remember the event).

In terms of cringey kiss and cry moments, there are a few I can think of from Hubbell and Donahue where Zachary screws up the free dance and Madison is clearly perturbed that her ex-BF continues to tarnish her dreams, lol. Though this moment at 2017 worlds was probably the cringiest, even Madison couldn't hide how over it she was.



Also, anytime an Eteri girl bombs a program and has to sit next to a stone-cold Eteri in the kiss and cry.

Though this moment at 2017 worlds was probably the cringiest, even Madison couldn't hide how over it she was.

Stationary Lift BASE ?!? remains one of my favourite skating moments of all time lmao. The looks of horror, the slow pan to Madi & Evan who awkwardly wave and don’t know what to do... the whole thing was hilarious.
