Funniest or Cringiest Kiss and Cry Moments

Queen Empress of sass Tuktamysheva after her SP scores came up at Finlandia 2019. A raised eyebrow, blowing a raspberry, crossing of legs, and then thumbs up. She was clearly not impressed.



EDIT: Aaaaand I can't believe I completely forgot about a cringey-aggressive Moir. Make no mistake: Dubreuil was scared as f**k.

Great videos! Tuktamysheva indeed has confidence in her own being, which you must have in this sport, where you are constantly encouraged to retire or stop because others don't think you're worthy of continuing (happens in every country at every level, it's the nature of the game, unfortunately, but some skaters use that as fuel to prove the doubters wrong).

Scott's reaction at winning Olympic Gold depends. It is cringey or joyful depending on perception (and how much the team is loved or loathed). If Dubreuil was in any way scared, it's doubtful she'd ever coach the student because she has more interested skaters than slots where she is.

Our family always thought Bruno Massot's Olympic Gold medal (with Aljona Savchenko) reaction was funny (and completely understandable). Not because it was a dude tearing up *at all*, but only because it was a partner with a well-publicized mandate to win Olympic Gold (it's why he was chosen as her partner). Who went to the wall and back to get it, in some ways even more so for his partner than himself. And then managed to do it (with Aljona, of course). If there was *ever* a partner in skating who deserved tears of release after that, it's Bruno. Cheers to Bruno and his commitment and achievement, under such odds.

I wish I could remember which competition it was, but the one awhile back--maybe a fall comp 2017? before they switched coaches and started winning--where James/Cipres had an argument because it had gone so badly and one of them stalked off. It was very embarrassing to watch and I remember being shocked they didn't wind up splitting afterwards.

I just realize this picture looked weird - Medvedeva was obviously sad, but can't quite make out the emotion on this still from the coaches.

A subdued and low key reaction from Khudaiberdieva & Filatov from the JGP in Riga 2019. I really enjoyed this skate and have watched it many times since. I was sad to see them split, his coach had said he had a new partner and were looking for a country to skate for but I have yet to see them.
