Good skate from B/A - I hope somehow they can beat the Russians. But, to me, all the teams had really slow straight-lines today besides V/M.

I also wish the Americans changed their final lift position. It's not dramatic enough and could go better with the music.

Pathetic judging. Can't believe that horrible program beat 3 great ones???? And with that high a score???

Vancouver is set. :(((

Shocking!!! The scores for the Russian Team, come on now. Congrats to the winners. I would have put B/A in first that was quite a skate, but of course I am biased.

WHAT A CROCK!!!!!! I admit I know next to nada about ice dance but the Dom/Shabs winning with that skate and that program? Where is the choreography? They around in circles doing swooping lifts of their arms and what are they interpreting? Where is the difficulty, variety and change of positions in their lifts. What are their feet doing that is complex and difficult. This is fixed, and I've never stated that sentiment in all my years on this board. B&A, V&M,D&S even the other Russian team had so much more going for them.

Posting these only because Sailor asked ... hope I'm not stepping on anyone's skates, er, shoes!

I haven't seen the performances, but from the comments here, Dom/Shab didn't skate that well. Glad to see B/A still working to improve; hope they don't get discouraged ...

if Del/Sch did a better circular step in their OD, they would've taken 1st there....along with the FDs circular step...those two could've help them stay in second in the final

i am happy they got all level 4s except on both of their circ steps...
the spin!!!! from level 2 to 4

Tech score for Dom/Shab is RIDICULOUSLY HIGH!! Same for PCS. THAT, and only a Lev3(???) on B/A's opening serpentine lift, put the Russians on top.

yeah....out of all the lifts...they chose that to downgrade

maybe its time issue....that is my favorite lift in the FD too!

well
thank you for all your "happy birthdays"
i am back to bed now....only had 4 hours of sleep...:sheesh:

thank you isa and oli for your work! bon travail!

ciao....

p.s. wake me up if there's a score change making D/S (fra) win....:p

again sorry about the thread title!

Why hasn't ISU sent 2008 worlds gold medals to Dom/Shab already? Just save a trip for this duo and let other pairs to compete for silver and bronze?:bow:
