Ban kids wearing those heelie shoes in stores!

Today a boy nearly collided with me and several others as he quickly spun around courners and whipped down the aisles of our Wal Mart. All his handler did was say in that annoying high pitch voice "honey, look where you are going." Uh, handler, how abpit telling him to stop. Oh, wait, that would hurt his self esteem.

Last year a kid on those did have an accident and was injured in the same store. I have no sympathy.

I totally agree Johar. I've been nailed by kids on roller shoes before. They are banned from being worn at my school, thank goodness. 42

I will really blow my lid if a kid on those contraptions runs into me. They are wearing them in every store, buzzing around people and making a nuisance of themselves.

I know they've been banned in a lot of malls, etc.

My niece and nephew have them, but they aren't allowed to wear them much - really only when there's going to be a lot of walking, where we might want to be able to tug them along.

Right On!!! I nearly got nailed one day myself, by a couple of kids on wheels in a grocery store. When I told them "this is not a play ground" they just continued on their way. I cringe when I see kids allowed in malls sporting these dangerous shoes. Not to mention - what about the safety of seniors?

I also hate it when kids are allowed to skate board outside of stores. What about the safety of others who are trying to walk to their car? I have also had to dodge a couple of these terrors on wheels.

Count me in as a fellow hater. At least people see a skate board or even roller blades. This dangerous footwear looks like regular sneakers -- until a kid comes wheeling into you. Blech! :scowl:

Disney World has a total ban on them and they will take them (and leave them at guest relations for pick up when the child leaves the park)

This summer a kid getting out of a car zipped right across my path, causing us to nearly collide. It didn't faze its handler at all.
