Oh, wow. Was it drug related? I know he'd had lots of problems with that in the past. What a shame. He was really talented.....

That is the suspicion, but at this point it is only a suspicion -- requires toxicology tests to determine for sure.

What a shame for sure. Where it not for his personal demons, I think he could have been as much of a legend among the men (in a positive sense) as Kwan has become for the ladies.

I am totally floored by this news.

Chris posted on this forum a couple of times last summer. He was trying to get a television show together.

Just a terrible shock.

Are you certain this is not just a rumor? I have checked out the website for the LA Times and KTLA -- usually up to date on news, including the homicide report -- and there is no mention of Christopher Bowman. Some other guy named Bowman was shot last week though.

Have checked with two impeccable sources. Body was found about 12 noon and is now at the Coroner's office. An autopsy will be conducted to determine cause of death.

When I signed on to the board, this was the thread at the top. My reaction was 'What?!!"

It said in the link that he was diagnosed as bipolar, which would certainly explain some of his problems, especially since it wasn't diagnosed earlier.

RIP, Christopher.

I've been so busy with work lately I haven't been able to log on --- and finally, I'm settled in bed with my laptop and this is the firs thing I read and I couldn't feel sadder. I'm so terribly soory to hear this - he was such an amazing talent....and, would have made an excellent commentator....I'm so, so terribly sorry to hear this. RIP.

I can't believe it. He was always a favorite of mine. I have many of his competitions on video............42

Extremely sad. He was such a charismatic performer, and by almost all accounts, a very nice (although troubled) person. Such a shame. Feeling sad thoughts for his family, girlfriend, daughter and friends.

How tragic! I didn't know much about him except what I read on different forums or heard on tv when he was doing a bit of commentating.
