Niina Petrokina

Niina Petrõkina (born 14 August 2004) is an Estonian figure skater.

She is the 2025 and 2026 European champion, 2023 Skate America bronze medalist, a five-time ISU Challenger Series medalist, and a four-time Estonian national champion (2022-23, 2025-26). She is the first Estonian skater to win a medal on the ISU Grand Prix.

On the junior level, she is the 2020 Estonian junior national champion, and competed at the 2020 World Junior Figure Skating Championships.

She sure did. I was rooting for her as I watched her to rise in the standings.. Thankfully Estonia retained their 2 spots, although it was almost a miracle after SP. But it wouldn't be the same without both Niina and Eva-Lotta..

She wasn't named to the Olympic team. I believe that the criteria said that if the skater who earned the spot was top two in the Euros race (how Estonia ranks skaters for Europeans), then the spot was theirs. So Eva-Lotta got the spot.
