I see we have found the loophole: If adults are doping, they are banned, but if adults dope children, the children get to compete. It's great that we're sending such a clear message of what we want the feds to do to their young skaters. Thank you, IOC, for protecting their health and mental well-being! 
What a complete circus, honestly. I'm a teacher and next time I'll write a test, I'm gonna open one student's book and tell the rest of the class this one student gets to look at the answers while the rest of them don't because screw you, idc lmao. Because that's what the women's event is going to be. (Except in my hypothetical example, no one is drugging minors, so it's still not quite as bad.)

Poor Jessica Catalang. If only she was 15, Russian, and a gold medal contender she wouldn't have missed worlds. A total joke. I wouldn't surprised if that was another underlying reason that she was allowed to skate: RATINGS. They're gonna need them, cause after this immediate firestorm dies down, even less people will care about this sport outside of Russia and Japan.
And here we have another one jumping into conclusions without bothering learning the facts. What we know is that the Swedish lab was late.

All I have to say is raise the age already so we don't have to deal with "protected persons" any more.

CAS kicked the can down the road. 
In protecting the rights of one skater, the rights of all the others were ignored. I have nothing but sympathy for Kamila but this decision is simply wrong.

So I guess in Russia you can get away with anything concerning children. In USA there was Nassar gymnastics scandal and hopefully things are going better, but in Russia you can dope children and it's fine. They need to go through similar revolution as in USA.

This case isn’t going away any time soon. She could very well be stripped of her most likely individual medal earned later or they may not give out the ladies’ medals right away. I guess we’ll have to see what happens.
Regardless of how anyone feels about it from a legal standpoint, I can see the reasoning behind letting her compete. If it turns out she’s completely innocent in this, given her protected person status, I can see how they came to this conclusion.
I wonder if this will push for increased ages across all sports to eliminate the “protected person” clause.
I’m surprised we didn’t get more about the defense, but I suppose if they had a narrow focus, compete or not, maybe it wasn’t needed?

They better take away her medal once the investigation is complete, or this sport will actually be a joke.

This pretty much. In my country figuře skating is a traditional sport but we don't have any top skaters now and if the only thing that people will see that doping offenders can skate it will send such a bad signal.
