I do not want to see Sasha or anyone from Russia that earned a medal will lose it over politics. Other countries have invaded other countries with acts of war and nobody ever got anything stripped as far as Olympic medals or world championship medals go. The Olympic charter and Olympic ideal died long ago. Maybe they can go back to the 1936 Olympics and start taking all the medals that Germany won and then started World War II.
The USA and other countries invaded Iraq in 2003 with the weapons of mass destruction war and there were no weapons of mass destruction. I don't remember the countries that did that having their athletes lose their 2004 summer Olympic medals. Nor should those athletes have lost any medals for what their country's leaders did.
But the Russian sports leaders are so weak so confused they don't know how to articulate anything on an International level. I guess they're only hope for anything it's to have it end up at CAS. That country really needs new leadership all over the place not just politics but certainly sports as well. I am talking RUSADA and the Russian figure skating federation.
As for Sasha hopefully we will get an update soon. I hope she continues her career but to have to deal in with the broken foot this season and all the drama and turmoil at the Olympics I have no idea what she is feeling.
With Russia being sanctioned in so many ways and not knowing when they will skate competitively again internationally I wonder what Sasha's motivation level will be. She is only human after all.

there are rumors Sasha is trying to leave TT and there are apparently photos of her at AOP. also talk of other possible coaches like Mishin and Arutunian.

Sasha may leave but she went back to TT to land 5 quads in the Olympics and she did coming off a broken foot. Remarkable. Anna aint going anywhere.
I think the dark cloud for KV is because people think someone gave her TMZ. Being treated as a minor athlete which the IOC and Wada are supposed to do by their own rules should help her avoid a long suspension.
she should still have a bright future. If people think of her as a doper that's on them because she's not Marion Jones or Ben Johnson. Kamila will be fabulous again.
Her future career is in jeopardy because Russia may not be skating in nternational competitions for a long time or at least as long as Russia is in Ukraine. I hope they are skating in the Grand Prix events come October but that's certainly in doubt. I don't know if they can appeal any of this to Cas.
Back to sasha I want her to continue. She given so much to this sport I hope she still has a lot left in the tank.

Perhaps she might go to Novi, MI, where her daughter trains with Igor Shpilband? Or to Las Vegas, where she has lived before.
She said she will not leave Russia but if there are no funds or money, she has the chance to have the us citizen and her daughter lives in Las Vegas. She still can switch any time.

Um Sofia Samodelkina has Toe, Sal, Loop, Flip and Lutz in training, (Toe, Sal, Lutz in comp.) and she likes the hands over the head. If she becomes stable I think there is a small possibility she be the next one with 4 or 5 quads.

I absolutely adore SS. I love how she idolizes sasha. Sofia has a huge upside. But she is very inconsistent and that's because she does so many difficult jumps. I hope somebody can do 5 clogs again at the Olympics for the ladies and it could be SS. But the odds are against it.
Are there any updates on Sasha in the off season since the the off season came so early? Is she going to stay at TT?

I don't know but there is a video on her Instagram or telegram of her doing cantilever to 4Lz with a nice straight back on landing, so that is nice.
My biggest wish for her is to add some transitions, work on the spins (getting them back to where they where a few seasons ago + some flexibility), and work on SS and facial expressions during the off season.

Agreed. Sasha has a lot to be proud of and a lot to work on moving forward let's just hope the Russians are involved in an international season next season because that is in doubt.
I also wonder how Sasha's foot is doing it was fractured just a few months ago and then she went on to do five quads at the Olympics .it's unbelievable what she did.
