Kamila Valieva

Just beautiful. I can't help but imagine what she could develop into as an adult skater with someone like Brian Orser. It bothers me that much of FS Twitter diminishes the talent of these young Russian women by calling them bots. Frank Carroll referred derisively to Valieva as "the drug person" and called the others "cadavers" -
They're kids who just want to skate, just like the U.S. women, or Japanese women. It's the system that is toxic, not them. I hope I didn't break the rules of the forum, but I can't help it. Valieva is an artist, and I believe many in the online skating community were too jaded and contemptuous of Eteri (with good reason) to acknowledge or even recognize that. I'd love to see her prove the doubters and haters wrong. Sorry for the rant.

This is Kamila's fanfest but since you bought this up. Ew Frank Carroll. Funny how he comments on that drug person but he Johnny and Tara have nothing to say about the many many cases of sexual abuse in USA figure skating which they probably knew about for decades. I mean is there anything more toxic than what's gone on in USA figure skating and usa gymnastics for a long time? Nope. Those are 2 very massive stories that get ignored all the time because it's all about Russia Russia Russia.

Happy Birthday Kamila! I sure hope sweet 16 is better for her than 15 was. But with the Russophobic ISU pulling the strings her career and her teammates careers are in real trouble. And they're just letting this young athlete twist in the wind month after month not knowing what her future is is terrible. We will see what happens down the road. But this phenom Valieva is the most talented female figure skater I've ever seen. Let's hope her incredible physical and artistic talent gets fully realized in her competitive career.

Happy Birthday KV! :)

I've liked Kamila since I've seen her beautiful Varekai progam (if only she skated to that music nowadays.....) and I was thrilled she joined Eteri group because I knew she would become something special. And she surpassed my highest expectations.
That's why it was extremely upsetting for me to read some hateful and snarky comments from people who know nothing about her, just read some news about Olympics and thought she's just another Russian athlete with doping problem. No, she's not. She's a skating goddess born in flesh. Happy birthday! 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
