Conrad is on the entry list for the Wild Rose Summer Invitational, so no need to worry about himthat's my understanding too... but JO... i am soooooo sad for our "sons" i am usually okay with retirements... even Chiddy.. I just feel that Jo's injury may have forced things for him... and it sucks... you know how much i cared about Jo.. he is even in my avatar... i guess i will not put conrad back until he is signed up for minto or whatever...
good... so one of my sons survived the post olympic retirement wave... and for the good news... new avatarConrad is on the entry list for the Wild Rose Summer Invitational, so no need to worry about him
Isn't the Ice Palace in Edmonton? Seems a big decision. Conrad quite recently posted on Instagram a set of photos taken on the Ontario lake but hasn't posted any photos from Edmonton, so probably the moving is still ahead him...note that he and sister Amelia seem to have moved to Ice Palace (Ravi Walia, Ekaterina Goordeeva ?)

big surprise ? yes and no... yes because they have been around for a while... no because with many teams retiring, the RUS not allowed, they can make a move up...In a big surprise, Piper said on TikTok today that they're going to compete this season.
Agreed that the rule changes will benefit them, but those changes will also benefit other teams with crowd-pleasing “wow” elements who aren’t so strong in the basics, like Fear & Gibson and many of their Gadbois colleagues. Since there are a number of teams that fit that profile, I’m not sure that G/P, particularly, would have a special advantage due to the rule changes.big surprise ? yes and no... yes because they have been around for a while... no because with many teams retiring, the RUS not allowed, they can make a move up...
More importantly : i believe the change of rules will benefit them. In the RD, they were often set back because of lost levels on the pattern .... not anymore

I just hope they don’t give us another career retrospective, “farewell” type program like the Long & Winding Road. It’s a new cycle. Let’s shake it up!

i haven't checked before posting this but last time i looked at the summer competitions, the top 3 Canadian teams were not registered anywhere.... while Lauriault Le Gac, Soucisse-Firus and Fabbri -Ayer and everyone else were all entered at least one event...Agreed that Guignard/Fabbri will have less technical advantage under the new rules, but in their favor, with P/C “taking a break,” no Russians to worry about, and the two Spanish teams retired, G/F look to have a pretty clear path to the podium at Europeans. Good results there never hurt when Worlds come around!
They also do Latin themes very well, another advantage.
Really, it will be such an interesting season. And I think having G/P continue on will help light a fire under Fournier-Beaudry/Sorensen—I’m hoping for better programs from them as well.
That team split a while ago (I believe she was on IPS). Bashynska/Beaumont are registered for a couple summer comps as juniors. Are Bashynska/Beaumont staying in juniors?
Who's likely to get the pairs host spot? Fredette/St Louis?
I am so happy to see Gabby make her GP comeback!![]()
