Ruthy, if you see anybody official looking, could you let them know that although the links to the Time Schedules for today's Free Skates have been added to the Entries / Results Page, the PDF's themselves haven't actually been uploaded?

Have a great day!

@Ruthypegs How did Ashlie and Atl skate? Did they look like they were enjoying themselves? I'm gutted there's been no livestream.
Hi @WednesdayMarch - I thought they skated really well - great posture and confidence - and yes, they looked relaxed and like they were enjoying themselves. I enjoyed their skate very much. I think Alt's gained some height since I last saw them skate. Looking forward to their free skate today.

Here's a link to the protocols - http://www.iceresultsuk.org.uk/Brit...OR--08QUAL000100--_JudgesDetailsperSkater.pdf

And the time schedule for today - http://www.iceresultsuk.org.uk/Brit...JUNIOR--08FNL-000100--_StartListwithTimes.pdf

No problem. With there being no streaming, they aren't as essential as they usually are. I just thought I would bring it up as a means of finding a use for a mistaken post. :p

That's good to hear. Those kids are so likable!

Looking forward to seeing them in action in their Junior GP debut in a few weeks time.

By the way, do you have any opinions about Sam McAllister? I'm particularly interested to know about the Change Foot Combination Spin that he finished with, because from the Protocols, it looks like he had issues with it. His training mate, Dillon Judge, finishes his new SP with the same element, and he had MAJOR issues with it on Friday at the Junior GP. So, I was wondering if these may be connected.

Hope you have an enjoyable day! (Or, should that be, morning?)

The final day of the Britannia International is about to start. And we start by finishing off the Singles competitions, which I think are being held back-to-back (the Time Schedules actually overlap, so I'm guessing).

Here are the Time Schedules:
Senior Ladies FS - http://www.iceresultsuk.org.uk/Brit...--------02FNL-000100--_StartListwithTimes.pdf
Senior Men's FS - http://www.iceresultsuk.org.uk/Brit...--------01FNL-000100--_StartListwithTimes.pdf

And here are the live scoring pages:
Senior Ladies FS - http://www.iceresultsuk.org.uk/BritanniaCupInternational/2022/SEG004.htm
Senior Men's FS - http://www.iceresultsuk.org.uk/BritanniaCupInternational/2022/SEG002.htm

Hope this helps

That's great! Thank you so much.

Yes, Atl towered over me when they came for a fitting last week! They are absolutely enchanting and I'm desperate to see pictures but I suspect they're all a bit busy right now.

Their costumes were fab! You did a wonderful job - lovely details in the material and styling, and the designs really suited the programme.

They skated really well again today - looked great on the ice - and they were having lots of photos taken when I left (including with the amazing senior team silver medallists) - so I hope you get to see these photos soon.

Here's some thoughts from the Britannia Cup:

[firstly - tickets were amazingly cheap - £5 for the day yesterday, and free today. It's a shame it wasn't publicised more, so that there was a bigger audience for the skaters. However, it was a really enjoyable event - hope it's the first of many.]

Senior Men:
Graham Newberry - (gold) - much faster across the ice than previously, and rotates his jumps really quickly - two really good skates. Short programme was new - free programme, the same as last year. (He needs to get skating trousers that fit him better for the free skate, though).

Charles Katanovic - a few falls, but I liked the strength of his moves - and he recovered well.

Samuel McAllister (bronze) - engaging skater - good expression - lots to enjoy about his skating - I'm a new fan.

Brandon Bailey (silver) - from a distance, he looks very similar to Graham Newberry - useful if either of them ever need an alibi! Loads of great skating - mostly good jumps, and a great split jump - future British champion?

Elliott Thompson - nice skate yesterday, some falls today - nice expression - looks to have improved a lot since last year.

Senior Pairs - I didn't see the short, but Harry and Lydia did a great job in the free - lifts look much more secure - he has amazing strength.

Senior Ice Dance -

Lucy Hancock had the best short programme costume! Lilah Fear wins that prize in the free.

Natacha Lagouge and Arnaud Caffa (silver) are ones to watch for sure. IMO, they should have been second in the short - both programmes were really engaging, original and interesting, and their coach, Maurizio Margaglio, is also the coach for Mattias Versluis and Juulia Turkilla. I'll definitely be following these two - fabulous skaters.

Lilah and Lewis - their free was phenomenally good, especially for this point in the season.

I thought Sam McAllister was great! He deserved his medal.

Does he still train at Sheffield? I don't think I've ever seen him here.

I thought Sam McAllister was great! He deserved his medal.

That's great. I was concerned when both he and Dillon Judge had problems on the same element (the Change Foot Combination Spin) in their Short Programmes, and thought it was too much of a coincidence. But, they both did it better in their Free Skates.

The FS must have been an exciting segment to watch because, apart from Graham, the whole field was pretty close. I'm delighted that Sam held on to 3rd place.

I feel so sorry for Joe Zakipour, though. It is so cruel that he had 5 falls, but got 9 points in deductions. Yes, I understand why that rule was introduced, to deter people from risking injury from attempting jumps that they plain can't do, just because they are worth more points. But, I don't like that it is kicking somebody when they are already down.

And having two events this weekend just reinforces my belief that it is unfair, because Dillon had 4 falls in his FS at the Junior GP, yet only got 4 points in deductions. Because the Juniors kept the old rules.

It should be the same for both levels.

But, rules is rules.

Does he still train at Sheffield? I don't think I've ever seen him here.

Sorry, my bad choice of words. Dillon trains at both Sheffield and Nottingham, but Sam just trains in Nottingham now.

Glad you had a great time. And thank you for sharing your views.

Thank you! Atl came to me last month with a request for help as their usual costumer was unable to do it. Very short timescale - a week from toile fitting to make and send five garments, and two of the days were taken up with travelling home and teaching! The FD costumes were still being decorated so are as yet unworn, but I hoped the RD would look good. It took an entire afternoon to get the asymmetric cut of the skirt and the gradient in the fabric right!
