Yay, Flatt got the first really clean program of this group ! (actualy, the first clean skate in a while today...)

Rachael skated her best performance of the year. Her toe-loops were better and she was stronger down the stretch. Also, thank goodness she dropped the hydrant spin.

I am soo happy for Rachael. I thought she had out skated them all at Nationals.

Oh, my God, Caroline was beaten by Rachael by .35! I think one of her jumps must have gotten downgraded, maybe even two -- not sure which because none jumped out at me. At GPF, she scored 114 with a fall! And here she skated totally clean and didn't even break 110...

I do think, though that Rachael's jumps were more solid/secure in general. Congrats to Rachael!

Were Carolyn's scores a little low? I know she flutz, twice, but she was perfect otherwise! Nonetheless, I am so so happy for Rachael and so glad that Carolyn skated so well.

She didn't even beat her score last year at JW...where she scored 110.xx
She still so well though!!

Hopefully this inspires Caroline to go home and really work on her speed and also her jump height, so that her jumps are not always at the mercy of tech panels.

So the young US ladies take turns in the spotlight this year: Caroline during the GPs, Mirai after National's, and Rachael at JW.

This really sets up something special for next year!!

It saddens me it's more likely to see three American ladies at GPF than at worlds next year.
