Ilia did it the hard way. He won but this is not the skate he wanted either. He figured out what he needed to get points back after popping. But hopefully this will not be case for worlds

I like both skaters for their strengths they have. And I do have a little bit of bias towards Ilia since he is from my home county.

Brown and Malinin are both from the same country: US.

Andrew needs to be sent to Challenger cup to get his minimums and seasons best.

Ila skates a great sp and a flawed fs and wins. He skated a flawed sp and a great fs this season and won. He's got to be disappointed that the fs like this came at his nationals. Learn from it and get ready for the 2nd half of the season. He's a winner for sure. That last combo jump was out of this world.
