Abbott was great - the crowd was mesmerised. Have you seen the girls behind Abbott after he finished his program? They looked as if they were going to ask for his number.
Love the music, love the choreography - Abbott and Voronov (his steps improved enormously, but I think they were right in placing Abbott in front of Voronov) together showed what I love about men's skating, the diversity this competition can offer is amazing.
Abbott got the highest PCS - that stupid Axel hurt him big time, he could have been in the top five at the end of the day if hadn't popped that Axel.

OMG! These judges are SO TOUGH! Jeremy's only mistake was a 1Axel, otherwise the 4toe+2toe and 3Lutz were fine and well done I thought. I too would have him in 1st right now, regardless of his rookie status! I thought his PCS should have been higher!! His interpretation, choreography, execution, transitions, and edge work is the class of the field to this point in the competition.
I LOVE Abbott and really like Voronov. I have an adoration for Ponsero as well! I really hope they can all move up in the LP!! I agree, the girls behind Jeremy Abbott in the picture looked absolutely mesmerized and thrilled by him. I am too, girls!!

He got 2,5 points more PCS than Berntsson and 3,5 more than Schultheiss - which is not a tiny margin PCS-wise. He screwed it up all by himself with the Axel - my German commentators also said that his last step sequence (which they loved otherwise) can't be more than level 2, perhaps just level 1.

And the worst thing is that I love all of this music but I can't take it anymore. We need to send CDs to the skaters.

Piazzola is good. The problem is that the vast majority of the skaters can't live up to it...
